Celine's Vegas show on DVD?

Why would they do a live album without a DVD ?

 

Look, the two last tours (Une seule fois and Taking Chances World Tour) were both CD + DVD/Blu ray.

 

And more, I think the visual part of Celine's shows in LV are really important to "be in the show" !

 

So if there is a CD, I think there must be a DVD as well.

 

There was a long time between AND...LIL the cd and the dvd

I think we have seen bits and pieces of the whole show on you tube, so it wouldn't be anything new to us, but it's so nice to have a dvd/bluray in your hands.

They've released several professional videos of songs from the show. I would be willing to bet they record a lot every night that could be professionally edited together. I'd love a CD with the release as well!

That could be true too! We know that the opening night in 2011 is most likely recorded... So if they were to release something, I'd want that just because it's got the original show.

There is a big difference between professional for "private viewing"/a "satellite performance" and professional for a DVD/TV Special. The latter will need much more equipment (like camera's, at least 1 crane, etc.) and involves a bigger production (especially knowing Céline & René). So while they may have recorded every show, all the material isn't just suited for a big release, just like possible material recorded at her Bercy shows.

All I want is a dvd that also includes footage from the way the show was when it first began that was my only complain with the AND dvd. I wanted to see both the old and new performances (ie songs that got cut , some of the older costumes as well as the newer ones) I hope we get something. Right now I have around 45 mins of pro footage put together alot of it are repeat performances but I do enjoy putting it together JUST INCASE we don't get a proper dvd then again this is Celine we're talking about!!

I hope the "Blonde Version" of "A New Day..." gets released sometime in the future. Perhaps it will be released in 2023 for the 20th anniversary, or in 2028 for the 25th anniversary.

The blonde version of AND was interesting!! It'd be nice to see it all the way through. All though... I don't think she looked the best blonde... Brown works better on her. So I hope she doesn't go blonde again.

I think opening night was filmed by Oprah's team for 3 boys and a new show. Since in the special they show almost every song I'm pretty confident that all of opening night was filmed. While I do love her brown hair I still would love the blonde version of AND just to add it to the collection would be great.

I definitely think there's a lot more professional recordings of the show than we think. Given that she's not listed as a headliner on The Colosseum website anymore I wouldn't be surprised if we get a DVD at some point. I just have an awful feeling about this break even if a lot of what we've heard is rumor or speculation.

When you go to Caesars Palace website --> shows --> more shows at the Colosseum: she's still there...in a way... Not as an "active headliner" at this moment, but her pic is there, bigger than and above all the other pics. And in the future...? I think nobody (including Celine herself) knows at this point! Let's stay positive, even in very negative circumstances! Maybe that will bring some positive energy and positive things in the future.

I agree. Just pointing out something I noticed. I think if and when she returns it'll be with a new show. If that is what happens I wouldn't be surprised to see a DVD of the show sometime over the next year. Only time will really tell. Whatever the outcome I only have positive thoughts and prayers for the entire family.

Well, I think that they may have recorded the whole show but I doubt they'll ever release it. But a CD is more probable

I think they might release it if she's only gone a few years as well and returns with a new show. I think if she comes back next year with pretty much the same show we won't get one anytime soon. Time will tell on this too.

Plus, as far as I know, there are no plans to release Shania's current show on DVD, and that is closing at the end of this year. So, it wouldn't be all that unheard of for "Celine" to never see the light of day on DVD, except for maybe a few excerpts as special features on upcoming releases.

Shania's show was filmed over 2 nights this summer for a future release
