Just to say ''Thank You'' for my special 30th Birthday gift!

Hi Guys,

It was my 30th on Friday past and it was a great day... but on the evening of it, all of my family went out for dinner, and during it I was told to watch the screen on the wall, so I was baffled and looked around the table and everyone looked as confused as me ( great actors as I later found out ) but did so anyway lol.

It was a video that my g/f Clare and Ashley from the forum had been working on for a few months as a surprise where they approached some fans on the forum and a few of my Celine contacts, and Celine related people I have met over the years, to wish me a Happy Birthday in this video.

Clare is generally useless at keeping secrets so I don't know how she did not let it slip over that period of time, so I was not expecting it at all.

I was taken back by how many people took part, and left such great, funny and touching messages... I was numb but so happy after the video faded out, then I had 30 questions for Clare lol.

So I just want to thank all forum fans who took the time and who took part and to the Celine related people, but most of all to Ashley for putting this amazing video together, it is such a special gift for me treasure and to watch every now and again to put a smile on my face!!! :)

You are a very special and generous lady Ashley, thank you so much...

All of my family knew about the video, and had being dying to see my face and reaction to it for months... who can I trust now?!? lol.

It ended my birthday celebrations on a very big high, and is my favourite present.

Below is a link to view the video.

Thank you all so much again, I love this forum :P

Darren.

I just finished reading Maria Duenas' 'The Time In Between' ('El tiempo entre costuras' in Spanish if I'm not mistaken) and I got a kind of obsessed by this book. Anyway, I read that TV series based on it are/have been shot but all info is in Spanish which I don't understand. So I'd like to ask you to see this and tell me what it's saying:

I'd like to undestand if the series have already been shot or it's not done yet, when it's supposed to come out so I can search the Internet. Thanks in advance! Thanks a lot!

It says the new series has been recorded in several locations already and is ready to premiere on primetime in Spanish TV Channel antenna3 next season. (I suppose around september)

I've noticed in the multimedia section that the dates for concerts, interviews, ect, are written differently than they would be written in the US. For example, in the US we would write today's date as 5-4-12. The month is first, followed by the day, then year. I've noticed that some dates are written with the day first, then the month. Like the concert in Vienna was written as 1-7-08, that made me think it was January 7th instead of July 1st (then I remembered that Celine didn't start the TC tour until Feb 14 so I figured out that it was July 1st) I was just wondering if this is yet another thing America does backwards or, does each country in the world write the date differently?

Yea, I know it is a stupid question  :shy:

Almost the rest of the world writes the date in the fashion that you see it written on the concert dates in this forum. The proper way to write the date is like this: Thursday 4 May, 2012 - or 04-05-2012.

This isn't the only thing that Americans do differently. Our weights and measures and temperatures are different. Almost the rest of the world uses the metric system, while we do not. Just like Celsius and Fahrenheit. Most of the world uses Celsius.

thank you for answering my stupid question Alex_Incognito :)

It's not a dumb question and I quite agree. We do a lot backwards. There are a lot of ways to do it. I say as long as you're clear about the month/day/year, it's okay. There are very rarely things where there's only one `right` way to do things. We are an interesting breed, us USA, aren't we??????

Coming from someone who live in Australia, I find it interesting to see how the USA do things and I do find that USA people can be crazy at times, I also find it quite fun as well :)

Crazy? Probably not the best or most flattering descriptive adjective.
