Its nice that they will be doing something new to show its Celine's home town, but im sure it would have being a piece of history for Celine fans

The globe needed a lot of fixing so I understand they removed. But I would have thought they would fix it instead of replacing it.

rrr..that globe was looking rather tired wasnt it! haha but i loved the massive celine logo (love that logo) hope they do something with that again to scale that would be good - in gold or something?

Celine's monument in Charlemagne was outdated, had many cracks inside and become unsafe. The new original creation, possibly a sculpture by artist Normand Forget will be installed and unveiled at the end of summer 2012.

I like that old monument very much tru is that it need to be repaired anyway I m happy I could see it and take a photo im front of it so if there will be new one there will be a reason to visit Charlemange again.

I completely agree with Tom, I didn't like the globe, but the logo was fab. I did like the fact that it was perfectly placed for fan photographs though. It wasn't there when I was in Charlegmagne for the millennium. So pity I missed out in seeing it. Can't wait to see what they eventually come up with.

OMG this is such a shame, I've been living in Québec since August and I haven't had a chance to go to Charlemagne yet...I was going to head there just before going back to England at the beginning of May! </3 I'm so sad I won't get to take a photo with Céline! (Kind of...)

It would have been nice to see the origional monument and get a photo with it but I would like to see something with Celine's name on it that is not rusty and falling apart. Something that repesents Celine's hometown deserves better.

Was nothing there when I was in Charlemagne last year. I think they changed the road lay out and so the area where the globe was when I first went in 2011 is gone. Was also interesting seeing the building that has been built on the site of the Dion house. It's a very nice building but looks a bit out of place as it is noticeably a lot nicer that the others around it.
