Suggestions for improving the Forum

This amazing forum always needs fresh ideas to help make it better. Do you have any suggestions?

 

 

Here's a couple I have had:

 

 

We need to find a way to focus on some of Celine's greatest works. Her career is what brings us here and we should be making that the most prominent part of the forum.

 

Someone needs to get in there and re-arrange the Celine Discussions section. It's a right palava that so many of the more important topics based on Celine are all under the one section.

Surely we could have a dedicated section for discussing Celine's Albums. With seperate topics for each album. (maybe one topic for pre-sony years, one topic for discussing non-album songs etc)

 

Then stickie these topics so they always remain on the top of the Albums discussion section and don't end up getting lost and thereby getting other topics opening up on the same album. This is just one of the things that could be done. A similar system of specialist sections works very well already in the fan lounges where collectors area, Fan sites, graphic talk etc are simple to find. Except that they are so far down the home page that they are often not even noticed by many fans.

 

Furthermore, couldn't moderators constantly add relevant news to the very first post in an upcoming album thread, so that the discussions can still take place behind it, but for all the latest up to date news you just need to go to the very first post of the topic.

Hey guys,

 

 

I had an idea about the collectors area. I was thinking it would be good to open a Facebook Group for celines fan collectors, using the forums name to promote the forum.

 

Here we can easily post pictures of collections, and comment easily on each picture. We can also ask questions about items.

 

I dont know if it would go against forum rules, but as long as its tied into the forum, i really do think this could be a good idea. I dont know what you think about it, i would more than happily create the group.

 

I think this could make it easier for alot of fans to upload their collections and boost the amount of people showing their collections

Also, i dont know if this is possible, but like buttons would be a great feature! Using FB all the time, when i see a post on here im always wanting to like posts lol

Thanks John, those are great suggestions. I'll keep that in mind when restructuring the forum.

 

Kev, I'm not too keen on creating a facebook group for collectors. Like buttons will be on the upcoming forum upgrade.
