Speaking to Spin Magazine in the US the duo professed their love for the often-maligned Canadian singer saying she is their ultimate collaboration dream.

 

“I f***ing love Celine Dion,” gushed Ninja during the interview. “Celine is the ultimate. We want to work with her more than anybody. I’m going to keep saying it interviews because I want it to happen so badly.”

 

“Think Twice is Ninja’s favorite Celine song,” revealed Yo-Landi Vi$$er, Die Antwoord’s other half.

 

“I drive around listening to that song stupid loud,” adds Ninja. “I nearly crash the car because I get emotional overload. It’s dangerous. I shouldn’t listen to it while driving anymore.”

 

When asked what they’d get the famous songbird to do on a collaboration track Yo-Landi explained “She’d sing the hook”. “She’d bust the most beautifullest hook in the whole word,” quickly pipped in Ninja.

 

The group plan to mention their dream in as many interviews as possible in an attempt to grab the attention of Dion. “We need this to happen,” pleads Yo-Landi. No word yet from Celine’s camp on whether she’d be up for the offer but we’re not holding our breath.

 

I think Lady Gaga is more likely... But still... nice to hear. :kicking:

I think die antwoord is that ''Die Antwoord'' does not sing my kind of songs. I asked my dad if he knows them because he is more into the local music scene. He says they focus mainly on hip hop and rap. So you are right: a collaboration with Celine would be so wrong it would be hilarious. :sofunny:

 

Totally off topic, but her story about ''Think Twice'' reminds me about something. My friend actually bumped into a truck because she got so carried away with ''I Surrender'' while she was driving. :giggle:

At the end of the article...there is a slideshow of the weirdest collaborations in music and Celine is there:

 

Celine Dion and R.Kelly Rapper R.Kelly's career was faltering when he announced a collaboration with the songbird the world loves to hate, Celine Dion. It went number 1 so we guess it wasn't such a bad call after all.

"Die Antwoord" are weired crazy people. Saw them on tv once, and actually they are scary. Don't think its a good idea, them and Celine, no way!!! :nono:

Well they were very nice to say that. I wouldn't have expected that they would like Celine.

 

They're kind of controversial I would say but I actually think it could be good :)

very nice words they have for Celine. Though it would be weird to have a collab with them why not...give it a shot...I mean Celine always likes to do "new2 things, this would be VERY new and unusual - FINALLY!

Claudette you don't miss out on anything. Their music is crap, no, wait, you can't call it music, it's just horrible noice.
