squirebuffy Posted January 2, 2012 at 02:04 AM Posted January 2, 2012 at 02:04 AM Does anyone else do things like this? I have always found the tracklisting for Celine Dion 1992 really off and the b-sides/left overs are so strong. So my Celine Dion looks like this for my own personal enjoyment: 1. Love Can Move Mountains 2. If You Asked Me To 3. Show Some Emotion 4. Did You Give Enough Love 5. Halfway To Heaven 6. Little Bit Of Love 7. If You Could See Me Now 8. Cry Just A Little 9. Love You Blind 10. Water From The Moon 11. If I Were You 12. Send Me A Lover 13. With This Tear 14. I Love You, Goodbye 15. Nothing Broken But My Heart I never thought Beauty & The Beast suited the rest of the album, it was way too 'disney' and not as mature or sensual as the other songs. Thoughts? Quote

Celine Fan 77 Posted January 2, 2012 at 12:25 PM Posted January 2, 2012 at 12:25 PM I Love You, Goodbye will always be my favorite song from that album. It's so touching and powerful. 1 Quote Tournée Européenne in Paris (December 1, 2013)Céline Dion Live 2016 in Antwerp (June 20, 2016)Céline Dion Live 2017 in Birmingham (July 27, 2017)
squirebuffy Posted January 2, 2012 at 01:17 PM Author Posted January 2, 2012 at 01:17 PM I ordered the CD's that Send Me A Lover, Cry Just A Little and Love You Blind were on so they are in CDQ and they sound so good on the album. Cry Just A Little and Love You Blind have that jazzy feel that Did You Give Enough Love and Halfway To Heaven have and makes it more of a full album. While I love the songs it just never felt very well put together for me and randomly called it Celine Dion even though it was AFTER Unison was released. I always thought 'Halfway To Heaven' made a much nicer title. Oh well. Just thought I would share! Quote
Timster Posted January 2, 2012 at 01:32 PM Posted January 2, 2012 at 01:32 PM I think Celine Dion is a really strong album. There are some amazing songs, and there is a distinct sound from that era that flows through the entire CD, binding all the tracks together (unlike LTAL ) Quote
celinesounds Posted January 2, 2012 at 01:49 PM Posted January 2, 2012 at 01:49 PM The album CD is amazing itself, some songs has the same taste like Madonna's EROTICA like DID U GIVE ENOUGH LOVE if they re-release the album I would be happy if they add the leftovers with a DVD with all videos Quote #FREEJAVITO

squirebuffy Posted January 2, 2012 at 03:16 PM Author Posted January 2, 2012 at 03:16 PM Celine was quite sexy in this era with her long dark hair and tan - she wore a mini dress on Arsino Hall and performed three songs from the album I remember. Then they cut her hair off for TCOML and she looked funny. Quote

I also love the album. It has an 80s soul vibe. Quote
sfbaysinger Posted January 3, 2012 at 07:59 PM Posted January 3, 2012 at 07:59 PM I also love this album and think the name suits it. I have to say that If Beauty and the beast hadn't wound up here, where would it have gone? I think every artist at some point has to have a self-titled album, and this was hers. Not everyone does their first album self-titled, she was obviously not one of them.I alos love the "left-overs" as you all are affectionately calling them. Quote L'immensite de mon amour pour Celine! JasonFromTheMoon Posted January 5, 2012 at 05:42 AM Posted January 5, 2012 at 05:42 AM It was named that way, because Celine put much more of herself in it after the heavy criticism about her being mechanical in Unison. She said that in an interview (I think it was the Arsenio Hall one where she also told "This is my album"). And I think you can actually feel it, because it definitely has the mood her earlier French albums have. "Halfway To Heaven" remains my favorite Celine song ever to date! tiniann88 Posted January 6, 2012 at 10:51 PM Posted January 6, 2012 at 10:51 PM I like all of her albums but, this one is my least favorite because Beauty and the Beast should have been a bonus track and it just doesn't flow rightsquirebuffy, I think I'm gonna use your playlist. Quote

Alex_Incognito Posted January 20, 2012 at 12:11 AM Posted January 20, 2012 at 12:11 AM Realistically, it had to include "Beauty and the Beast."
