That has been her only income as she didnt release ANY new music at all. They obviously have not included sales of her perfume, as that would increase the number alot. Well, Katy Perry was on tour, so that made her a boatload of cash, As for Adele, her album's sold north of 13 million copies globally, so I'm not surprised she made so much. Here's Forbes' methodology: "Our numbers encompass all pretax income earned from May 2010 to May 2011, before subtracting agent and manager fees. The totals were compiled with the help of data from Pollstar, RIAA and others, as well as extensive interviews with industry insiders including lawyers, managers, concert promoters, agents and, in some cases, the musicians themselves." It seems that Celine's figure, at least is pretty solid. $19 million in a year without any promotion is nothing short of incredible. That's still $9 million more than Britney Spears, who had a #1 album and several #1 singles...
