I think that sums up all what we can expect about her in music today, the awards, the promotion of her albums etc What I don't get to understand yet is why she can have the time to stay in Vegas singing 8 years of her life the same music and why she doesn't find the time to record music with the same frequency as before. Where's the impediment?

 

What I'm trying to say is that she could be recording new albums all this time and she may not do any promo if she doesn't want to. But at least keep recording music for your fans. That's not time for her compared to Vegas...

The bottom line is that she simply doesn't want to. She says in EVERY interview that the thing she's most proud of is being a mother and simply the amount of time she spends talking about her kids and her family should clue everyone in. She doesn't care about music. And heck, if I was as involved artistically as she is in the studio, I wouldn't want to sing anymore either! All she does is go in sing a few lines exactly the way she is told, and then leaves. So, for her it has to be boring to do that because there is no creativity.

Fernando, I'm sorry, mate, but I have to quite agree with Javito on this one. It's not that she doesn't have the help with everyone around her. She herself said that and if she doesn't have the time, why not take a break from it all and come back when she's comfortable and rejuvenated.

 

I know people here are going to hate me for this, but look at Mariah. She had twins, too. But she's back in the recording studio, writing and making music for her next album. It was a given that Celine's one of the hardest working woman in music business, but in every single interview nowadays, it only makes one get tired of the same thing when she says that she doesn't feel the passion in the music anymore and rather concentrate on being a mom. Then why the predicament of her being so tied down to Vegas? It is very clear that Rene listens to Celine - a lot, then why make her do something that she's not passionate about? Then again, she has also said that she's quite comfortable in performing in the new Vegas shows, but what I don't understand is why is she contradicting herself so much? Has money become so important to her?

 

This is one of the main reasons why I've totally lost interest in her as a person because I did not become a fan of her being a mother rather an exceptional singer. That is what I'm waiting for. Until that happens, I'll just plug in my headphones and listen to people who give a damn about their music.

She has given her all to us before for a very long time, just like you have stated many times... Why can't we give her time to enjoy life like she said, having a "normal" life for a while?? There's a person there, who wants to enjoy their children, their lover, their mother, because she was to busy working and travelling before for us and couldn't do it Why can't you understand that?? She is not contradicting herself, she just wants to rest a bit but still wants to sing for us...

And, of course, there's a lot of money and people involved on the show, and she is a professional still, so she has to deliver those shows because they signed those contracts way before she got pregnant with the twins.

 

Anyway, it'd be great to be face to face with you guys, talking about anything... You seem to know A LOT about Celine and other matters and would be great to chat

You're missing our point. She doesn't record anymore. Recording an album doesn't take 6 months to do, it can take a week to do. It's not a 9-5 job either, she can do it whenever and STILL have quality time with her family.

 

I don't get why people think this "quality time" eats up whole days and years. It doesn't. We're not asking her to put her kids up for adoption, we just miss our artist. Dhruv is exactly right, we became a fan of her as the artist, not as the mother. We appreciate her and her family, but let's face it, we're all here because of the music.

Oh yeah sure, so you are saying that she (and we as her fans) has to wait until RC is in school and the twins are 5 year old to enter the studio and find the time to record a new album right? So she has time to perform live each night since 2003 but she has no time to record 15 new songs in 5 years? Come on...

And if she's been that busy all her life, why she did 5 years and 723 shows in Las Vegas when she wasn't obliged to do so? Why she signed another contract to perform 3 more years (which can be 5 now) when nobody obliged her to do so because she was exhausted after the first residency? Please explain me that Fernando. She's not contradicting herself? She has ALL the time of the world to dedicate to her family now, but please tell me where the recording thing is an obstacle in all this story

Excuse me??? Sorry, she could be singing for us IF she had delivered a new album for her fans everywhere before the show started this year, just like she did in 2003, but NOT singing in an exclusive venue with $200 the ticket to see her sing That's not for everybody sir and not every fan can enjoy this "singing for us" that you say. But we could have enjoyed a new album by now no matter where we are if only she had "found" the time to record it, the time that you say she doesn't has Easier, cheaper and faster for everybody (and lasting too, because a CD will be there forever) but ahhh, I've heard that recording CDs doesn't give the same money than they did before!... Who said they didn't care about $$$ and the sales now??

 

In the meantime René can keep ruining huge loads of money in casinos while her wife breaks her *ss to earn it, that's what saddens me the most of all this.

No Alex, I see your point, but you clearly still haven't read what I wrote or haven't taken the time to analize it properly, so you don't get mine...

 

And Javito, I see it's pointless to try to make u understand this, cause you seem to be too closed minded like to see what I'm saying... And it also seems that all you want is to be pleased and you doesn't care for anything else...

 

Oh, and I can't explain you why she does or doesn't do certain things, cause I'm not Celine, just as you can't explain it either But maybe, and is a big maybe, you could ask your mom (if you have one, cause I don't know much about you ) to see what she'd do in this same scenario I did it with mine, and that's why I'm saying what I'm saying.. Now, be careful about what you're gonna post, cause I said I've talked with my mom, (who is a MOTHER, thing that we will never understand cause we don't get to be that and feel things like they do ) to try to understand Celine's behavior
