This trailer is AMAZING!! It feels like 15 years ago to be watching this and I'm still as excited as I was back then.

I'm sure this is going to be a wonderful experience, and I can't wait to see it in 3D in April. I would love a premiere with Leonardo, Kate, James and Céline in London, I would be there for sure!

But if there's a premiere, I'm sure it'll be held in NYC or something.

 

I've seen Titanic for the first time in a theater next year, as I was too young in 1998, but this time, I won't miss it!!

Edit: I'm going with my boyfriend and we are both SO EXCITED! First time seeing Titanic on the big screen for both of us and it's going to be on VALENTINE'S DAY! AHHH!

I went to see it with Sam while i was visiting her last week... It's okish, nothing too breathtaking IMO! It has a little depth to the scenes but that's about it.

Sam didn't have a great time either as she ended up sitting behind a guy who was all upright in his seat.... (3 hours of hell for her, with a backache to end with)

My review of Titanic 3d

 

Yesterday I went to see Titanic in 3d, a movie I have seen a dozen times.. but never like this before.

What is good: outstanding image, I mean full hd images, as if the movie has been made in the last couple of years, instead of 1997.

As a fan of this movie I know what the actors will say in the next sentence, but it was a pleasure to see the movie again on the big

screen, where I have seen it years ago when it was the premiere of the movie.

 

But the main selling point the 3d.. how was that?

Well, to be honest, it worked the best in the subtle depth it gave in almost the whole movie;

When the women, Rose and her mother go onboard of the ship you really feel the depth the immensity of the ship, there

is an extra layer of depth. That is interesting. Things that looked flat suddenly have a extra dimension, feel more shaped.

But you can go too far too, and that is something I have seen a lot in this movie;

Multiple times there is a conversation going on and the person that is standing closest to the camera is really blurred out and

looks really 3d, which means, standing out of the image, it pops up. But when you have your camera on someones back, should someone

look completely blurred? I thought the person standing further away would have been slightly blurred, and the person standing closest to the camera, wouldn't...?

There are also parts where we see Leo and Rose on the front of the ship and where only that frontpart has been layered in a extra layer of 3d,

so it looks to be floating in the image . You have to see it before you know what I mean.

 

my opinion is that this movie has never ever looked so great as like it was now. The 3d was very nice, although sometimes going too far and making it a bit fake. But the subtle 3d that was there in the whole movie gave the movie something it never had, and that was very good!

And the image itself looked soooooo enormously sharp and detailed, as if it was made last year or something, amazing HD images.

The movie still beautiful to see again and I can't wait to have it on bluray!

I watch it in 3D two times and it wasn't that bad at all. I was going to go and watch it a 3rd time but I don't think I will. Best thing is, I got the best seat of the house both times

and Today i did Manage to Get the original Titanic 1997 Soundtrack on CD today

Thanks Simon! 3D does nothing for me but I can't wait to own it in HD. Now HD was impressive and worth upgrading from DVD.

i bought the blu-ray today!! it's great!!! love it!! but only one thing i thought they would upgrade the music video too .. but no.... oh well.. still really good!

btw they could have Celine telling the story of the song! lol

I'm looking forward for the new Titanic 3D Blu-ray on 4 discs! The only thing which I do not like it is that 3D version of the movie is splitted over two discs. Yes, it is because to ensure the highest possible picture quality, but on the other side it is a little bit uncomfortable.

I both my 3D 4 Discs version 2 weeks ago, and let me say: It's amazing! 3D looks way better in Bluray than it was at the theathers. Every single scenes has a lot of depth. And the bônus disc is full of great things!
