tristan.josef Posted October 24, 2011 at 09:17 PM Posted October 24, 2011 at 09:17 PM i don't know about all of you, but i for one LOVE having WHERE DOES MY HEART BEAT NOW in the show. always thought it was a beautiful song, and great to hear it live again! found this video and thought you guys might like to see it if you haven't already...it's a video of her performing the song in 1990. in my opinion its the best performance of this song live i've ever heard from her! don't get me wrong im thrilled to have it in the new show, but I would love for just one night to hear her sing it like this video with that orchestra in the colosseum Quote

Other than that, I suppose I'm pleased for the most part with it. The orchestra does this song the most justice out of all the songs. MHWGO, BYLM, TPOL, IACBTMN sound relativ ely the same to the way they did on the tour.... this song sounds very different compared to the 90's. Quote

The original live arrangement for WDMHBN (Unison - D'eux tour) was 4:30 The shortened version (FIY tour), which cut out the second verse and chorus, was 3:30 The latest version (Celine) is the same as FIY but they shortened the ending, reducing the song to 3:00. Although I wish we had the full version again, I can understand why they shortened the ending, as it did seem a bit too long in the FIY arrangement when the actual main part of the song wasn't that long! Also, the "Hearts are made to last, Till the end of time" was sung twice, so now she just says it once. 90s ending / Vegas ending in RED:I need someone to give my heart toI feel it getting stronger and stronger and stronger, yeah…And I’m feeling it insideHearts are made to lastTill the end of timeI need someoneHearts are made to lastTill the end of time Quote

LOL, the problem of cutitng down songs only intensified and got about 783 times worse with the new show. At least in TCWT, and AND, she sang the songs MOSTLY in a full arrangement... In TCWT we had all the new songs in full arrangements except SOL. And the only old ones that were cut were the medley ones. In AND and TCWT, we had full length live performances of: River Deep Mountain High, If I Could, Love Can Move Mountains, I'm Alive, Seduces Me, All The Way, PQTME and about 5-6 other French songs, My Love, Fade Away, The Prayer, I'm Your Angel (I think this was full length right?), and for a short while we even had Have You Ever Been In Love, The First Time... , Think Twice, and other songs. These performances gave the song justice, because it was the FULL song. How can you give justice if you skip over half of it? And the fact that it was her own song, and she was singing it live, and genuine to, added to the fact that just made these the best songs of the show. Now let's compile a list for this show.... we have two songs that aren't butchered down, and both have playback in them... so for me, this show does fall short even though they have done a decent job at bringing back some songs.
