MillerThorsten Posted October 9, 2011 at 04:58 PM Posted October 9, 2011 at 04:58 PM Hi guys - I've been listening to instrumentals for my favorite celine dion songs and some artists for 3 days straight now and as I was reflecting on each of the songs, a thought came into my mind. I was wondering, how many of celine dion fans there are who would love to have a album of instrumental live versions of songs that are being used every time celine goes live. Just came into mind, if there are a huge demand on this, is there a way for us to have a some sort of a petition to celine's management on releasing an album such a this and some considerations that they need to consider: * the songs will be recorded using Mego Lemay's arrangements * no background vocals of celine's back-up singers, just pure instruments (I simply hate backing vocals hehehe) * and it'll be released on a 2-3 CD album, with the following songs (these are songs my preferred songs): tell me what you think, you're reactions would be great... 01 Incognito02 On Traverse Un Mirroir03 D'abord, C'est Quoi L'amour04 (If There Was) Any Other Way05 Where Does My Heart Beat Now06 Unison07 Des Mots Qui Sonnent08 Le Blues Du Businessman09 Un Garçon Pas Comme Les Autres (Ziggy)10 L'amour Existe Encore11 Love Can Move Mountains12 If You Asked Me To13 Beauty And The Beast14 Water From The Moon15 The Power Of Love16 Misled17 Think Twice18 Only One Road19 Calling You20 Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore21 Le Ballet22 Regarde-Moi23 Je Sais Pas24 Cherche Encore25 Destin26 Les Dérnier Seront Les Prèmiers27 J'irai Où Tu Iras28 Prière Païenne29 It's All Coming Back To Me Now30 Because You Loved Me31 Seduces Me32 All By Myself33 Declaration Of Love34 River Deep, Mountain High35 To Love You More36 The Reason37 Immortality38 Treat Her Like A Lady39 Tell Him40 Miles To Go (Before I Sleep)41 Us42 My Heart Will Go On43 Let's Talk About Love44 Je Crois Toi45 Zora Sourit46 On Ne Change Pas47 Terre48 Dans Un Autre Monde49 S'il Suffisait D'aimer50 The Prayer51 I'm Your Angel52 That's The Way It Is53 The First Time Every I Saw Your Face54 All The Way55 Live (For The One I Love)56 The Power Of The Dream57 I'm Alive (2002 Version)58 I'm Alive (Taking Chances World Tour Version)59 Have You Ever Been In Love60 A New Day Has Come (Radio Edit)61 Ten Days62 I Surrender63 Aun Existe Amor64 The Greatest Reward65 A New Has Come (Album Version)66 Nature Boy67 I Drove All Night68 One Heart69 Tout L'or Des Hommes70 Je T'aimes Encore71 Je Lui D'irai72 Contre Nature73 Miracle74 If I Could75 What A Wonderful World76 In Some Small Way77 Je Ne Vous Oublie Pas78 Tous Les Secrets79 Sous Les Vent80 I Believe In You81 Et S'il N'en Restait Qu'une (Je Serais Celle-Là)82 Immensité83 A Cause84 Je Cherche L'ombre85 Le Temps Qui Compte86 Taking Chances87 Alone88 Eyes On Me89 My Love90 Shadow Of Love91 A World To Believe In92 A Song For You93 Fade Away94 That's Just The Woman In Me Quote MILLER THORSTEN
Timster Posted October 9, 2011 at 05:41 PM Posted October 9, 2011 at 05:41 PM I would love to see this. I have an even better idea - Celine's team should create a website with all studio and live instrumentals available to download (including the shortened arrangements that have been used over the years). If they charged to download these tracks, they would make a huge profit as this requires much less effort than releasing a CD set, and they can add things to it over time. Quote
MTJ Posted October 10, 2011 at 12:41 AM Posted October 10, 2011 at 12:41 AM I agree with Tim. That would be smart for Team Celine to do. However, most of the instrumental tracks that are released - either in Celine's singles or by Karaoke-Version, are sufficient to make me happy. I prefer the tracks with back-up vocals. Quote
Alex_Incognito Posted October 10, 2011 at 12:47 AM Posted October 10, 2011 at 12:47 AM I don't think the average music buying public would have any interest in this. Quote "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990
I Love You Posted October 10, 2011 at 12:47 AM Posted October 10, 2011 at 12:47 AM I agree with Tim, that would be fantastic if Team Celine did that. I love instrumental, and Karioke, versions of Celine's songs. Quote
Tyler1991 Posted October 10, 2011 at 12:56 AM Posted October 10, 2011 at 12:56 AM This wouldn't sell at all.....sure, it's interesting to us, but idea-wise , it would receive even less backing than usual from her team, and the public wouldn't care enough. Quote
kevincheung410 Posted October 10, 2011 at 01:25 AM Posted October 10, 2011 at 01:25 AM yes. We're all happy to see if Celine's team would like to make it. Quote www.celinecn.com Youtube | Sohu
whosarahre Posted October 10, 2011 at 03:48 AM Posted October 10, 2011 at 03:48 AM this is sometinhs that only hard core celine fans such as ourselves will enjoy. i would love it but it would be a failure to mainstream it. MillerThorsten Posted October 10, 2011 at 12:07 PM Author Posted October 10, 2011 at 12:07 PM you know, if celine's team would agree on this, it would be AMAZING, totally AMAZING for those people or fans who are fond of sound tripping like me. Imagine, if they record the songs suit for even just 5.1 channel audio surround, it would sound marvelous. with due respect to "imgoingtobiteyou", based on my opinion, backing vocals ruins the music... maybe most of us or maybe only me is/are used of listening to celine' voice that when hearing the backing vocals, it sounds awkward or sometimes out of tune which I clearly understood that it was intentionally done to enhance celine's voice in a song but without celine's voice, i find it annoying. well, it's just my opinion and my preference. i respect everyone's opinion and preference and i know for sure that there are also a lot of people out there prefers instrumentals with backing vocals. Quote MILLER THORSTEN
MillerThorsten Posted October 10, 2011 at 12:12 PM Author Posted October 10, 2011 at 12:12 PM oh well, since this wouldn't be realizable 'coz it wouldn't sell anyway... i hope this idea would come into someone's mind who is working in celine's management and have this realize by, maybe, just making a limited copies for collectors and/or it could be a great prize for any celine contests. and besides if this will be released, i just realized that any amount of profit won't go to celine instead it'll go to mego's team and to those who made the music for legal and copyright reason. Marcc Posted October 10, 2011 at 01:22 PM Posted October 10, 2011 at 01:22 PM You can buy many instrumental versions of Celine's songs on www.karaoke-version.com! Even with or without backing vocals! Quote 20 June 2016, Sportpaleis Antwerpen, Belgium21 June 2016, Sportpaleis Antwerpen, Belgium
Amethystj Posted October 10, 2011 at 06:29 PM Posted October 10, 2011 at 06:29 PM I would like to have a cd or dvd with those arrangements from Mego's hand I also bought several instrumentals/karaokes from karaokeversion.com, but there are always songs that I want but aren't made (yet) Quote
MillerThorsten Posted October 11, 2011 at 02:26 AM Author Posted October 11, 2011 at 02:26 AM In fact, there are many instrumental of Celine that are on sale already ; they are either hidden in singles: for example, Je ne vous oublie pas has a 2 tracks songs 1 the regular version et 1 instrumental one. There are many examples of that but you have to search for them; You can find here many karaoke/instrumental songs: Celine Dion Karaoke http://www.musicme.com/#/Celine-Dion/album...4012403326.html Ultimate Backing Tracks (includes some instrumental from Taking Chances album) http://www.musicme.com/#/Soundmachine/albu...1585675914.html Karaoke The Celine Dion Hits Volume 1 http://www.musicme.com/#/Karaoke-Planet/al...1585572534.html Karaoke The Celine Dion Hits Volume 2: http://www.musicme.com/#/Karaoke-Planet/al...1585572619.htmlEt Je t'aime encore Single with instrumental: http://www.musicme.com/#/page.php?q=celine dion&res=cd&pg=1 Tout l'or des hommes instrumental: http://www.musicme.com/#/Celine-Dion/album...9767425114.html Je ne vous oublie pas instrumental: http://www.musicme.com/#/Celine-Dion/album...8767275727.html Celine Dion D'Eux (full karaoke version) http://musique.fnac.com/a707815/Celine-Dio...-d-eux-CD-album yup, there are available instrumental versions online and those that are included on the single CDs but this is about re-recording the music or re-making the music using the arrangements of Celine's concert conductor Mego... it'll have a different music feeling and it'll give life to those songs that were not being performed on-stage anymore. I wouldn't buy it for 2 reason: 1. Enough with the Hits!2. I like Celine's music because of her voice, so just the instrumentals will be boring for me. In the other hand, I will definitely buy acapella versions of her songs Quote Do What You Want But Harm No One http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs939.snc4/73202_10150111343007542_831827541_7586213_4279368_n.jpg...Looking Alike!?
brendanhirt Posted February 10, 2019 at 03:51 AM Posted February 10, 2019 at 03:51 AM This would come in handy particularly for me as I'm trying to replicate the piano parts and sound design to match the Live arrangements from the A New Day dvd. The only piano track that was left on the centre channel was My heart will go on. 1 Quote
ryba Posted February 10, 2019 at 11:40 AM Posted February 10, 2019 at 11:40 AM (edited) Back in 2003, there was a professional (maybe even official) acapella version of IDAN that sounded awesome. The reverb on it was great. Edit: just found it on youtube Edited February 10, 2019 at 11:42 AM by ryba 2 Quote

On this note, I want to get a second opinion from all other like minded Celine fans as well as Musicians here on this forum. This is an attempt at the Live Electric Piano sound that's played for the A New Day Las Vegas show for My Heart will go on.It's still not perfect. This is a life long challenge to try and replicate the exact instruments and have also seeked help from other Sound programmers too. Heres a short video of me playing the Live arrangement. I don't read music theory and only play by ear, self taught so forgive me, I transpose the Keybed to +3 for most of the song and then -5 for the Bridge at the end and play on the C Scale. For now i'm more interested in the sound design than the playing. Will eventually teach myself how to play it properly without the need to transpose. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVzvT9mWGDU&feature=youtu.be I'm playing on a Korg Kronos which is the next Piano model up from what was used in Celine's A New Day run.Had trouble aligning the audio with the video as, audio was recorded directly in to my macbook from the Keyboard, and video recorded on apple phone. I want your thoughts ! - Does it sound close enough the piano sound used in the live shows ? Edited April 16, 2019 at 04:23 PM by brendanhirt 1 Quote
