kevincheung410 Posted July 2, 2005 at 10:37 AM Posted July 2, 2005 at 10:37 AM As Mariah is getting ready for Live 8, her duet plans are in danger of collapsing. She was hoping to sing with another big name at Live 8 tomorrow. Mariah said, "There have been some discussions, but we're leaving them as a suprise. If it actually happens, it'll be a fabulous moment for me personally." An insider said: "George Michael is the dream, but at the moment there's no one lined up to sing with Mariah."As many fans are anxious to meet Mariah, Madonna wants organisers to keep her as far away from her as possible backstage. Madonna wants a changing room near Sir Paul McCartney's but can't stand the thought of bumping into the diva. I'm guessing that might have something to do with Mariah's boast that she has sold far more records than Madge. A source said: "There is no love lost between them. Madonna doesn't want to see Mariah or her massive entourage."The first details of the running order of the Live 8 concert came out today. Rumours are that Mariah may perform Say Somethin' with Snoop Dogg when he takes the stage. When it's Mariah's time, she will probably sing We Belong Together, Vision Of Love and Make It Happen. The show will end with a grand finale, when all the stars will join Sir Paul on stage. source from the mariah carey archives Quote www.celinecn.com Youtube | Sohu

kevincheung410 Posted July 3, 2005 at 02:22 AM Posted July 3, 2005 at 02:22 AM American rock star Mariah Carey performs at the Live 8 concert in Hyde Park in London, July 2, 2005. A galaxy of rock and roll stars graced stages across the globe on Saturday for what is being billed as the greatest music show ever, in a bid to put pressure on leaders of the Group of Eight major industrialised nations meeting in Scotland next week to do more to alleviate poverty, particularly in Africa. Live 8, an expanded version of the Live Aid sensation 20 years ago, took place in 10 cities and four continents, kicking off in Tokyo in the east and ending in North America in the west. At about 9:45 pm GMT (4:45 pm EST) Dawn French has introduced Mariah who came on stage to perform "Make It Happen" with an African Kids Choir, "Hero" and "We Belong Together". At the end, Mariah joined all the performers in London led by sir Paul McCartney to sing "Hey Jude". Source: Mariah Daily Quote www.celinecn.com Youtube | Sohu

Koolan Posted July 3, 2005 at 05:11 AM Posted July 3, 2005 at 05:11 AM MTV and ABC didn't show Celine at all What pisses me off was thaty MTV aired clips of Madonna's video at least 4 times throughout the concert. Madonna gave a very good performance but they showed her too often. They could've aired other acts instead, there was really no need to keep highlightinig her performances. Shame on MTV. VinnyT. Posted July 3, 2005 at 09:14 AM Posted July 3, 2005 at 09:14 AM from:BBC Mariah Carey: She may have thought she was bringing some glamour to the show with her micro-dress and personal water carrier, but it just came across as ego. As such, she got short shrift from the crowd. 5/10 and BTW she was the only one on the UK concert to promote herself singing current single! SHAME ON HER!!!!!!!!!
