While a news release avoided using Michael Jackson's name, the website of the company that issued it promoted a "Michael Forever The Tribute Concert." Executors for the late pop singer's estate were unaware of the planned tribute and have not been approached to authorize the use of his name, estate spokesman Jim Bates told CNN on Monday. The show, which is to be produced in London by a British company, will "feature the world's most amazing music performers," the release said. Some of them will presumably be revealed at the news conference at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Monday. Along with matriarch Katherine Jackson, brothers Marlon, Tito and Jackie, and sister La Toya Jackson were scheduled to attend the announcement, the release said. I hate these via satelite performances, I'd rather her not feature at all sometimes! I don't want to disappoint you but most likely she will do that if she has an album coming out on Nov 21st .She did that with Oprah, with David Foster on his Hitman Special. The only time we saw her perform was at the Grammy Party with Seventeen and the MJ tribute on the Grammies. I think Celine is doing too much tribute to MJ; add the fact that she barely knows him, she isn't related and has no connection with the Jackson family. Quote

If my career as a singer took off, and i became a big name, god forbid when Celine was no longer with us, you can sure as heck believe that i'd be performing in a tribute to her, she is legend yes, of course but she also inspired me, and a tribute would be nessacary.. so to me it doesn't matter if she only met him a few times or isnt connected with his remaining family members.. this is a legend paying tribute to another legend and for me that's ALWAYS welcomed. You can say you want about the cover songs she does and all that crap but a tribute in music is the best way to say thank-you, and regonize someone elses talented through your talent. Quote
