Though going through a relatively quiet stage of her career, Celine Dion still has that charm that conquered the world back in the 90's. She is unique in many ways: no scandals, no diva attitude, no outrageous outfits; just a powerful, delicate, incredible voice that led her to sell over 200 million records worldwide and counting. She's performing again in Las Vegas with an always sold-out amazing show that includes her greatest hits along with some Hollywood classics. You know, Celine can sing almost anything she wants and that's why she has worked in the past with any other big name in the industry, from Barbra Streisand to Luciano Pavarotti. But what is all the criticism about? Celine Dion has been accused to be "too cheesy" specially when it comes to ballads. But no one is expecting her to record any heavy metal stuff soon, so she's always been loyal to her pop and romantic roots. Success aside, she has managed to achieve something that most of her closests rivals haven't and that is to be a happy woman, not just a multi-million seller singer. Now Celine's enjoying a plenty family time with her husband Rene Angelil and their three children. It is possible to be succesful and happy at the same time. Celine Dion is a living proof of it. We'll have to wait a little bit longer for a new album, but in the meantime let's listen to Dion's rendition of "Here There and Everywhere" a classic Beatle's song and one of John Lennon's personal favorites. She is so down to earth and her music isn't here today, gone tomorrow crap that you hear on the radio today. She is truly one of the very best out there in the music business. To me she is the best!
