I mean, the people (children) in Norway were brutally murdered by a madman... Those +90 who have died on Norway (over 80 children) didn't have their faith in their own hands... They didn't had a choice to live, someone made that decision for them... Amy, well, she did had a choice, she could have gone in rehab, she could stopped abusing herself by taking drugs and alcohol... She had everything to make something big out of her live, she had the talent to make some good music, she was a decent artist, she made some decent money,... If she wanted she could have belonged to the top of the artists... However, she decided that the loved the alcohol and drugs more then life itself... I understand that people are upset that Amy Winehouse has died but compared to the tragedy in Norway the decease of Amy shouldn't have been more then a "sidenote" in today's newspaper... Some may find my opinion cruel but this is my opinion about it... I know from first hand that alcohol can ruin someone's live... But I also know from first hand that people can change their lives if they want to... My dad has been an alcoholic after my mom passed away 2,5 years ago and after he was diagnosed with cancer a bit later... After he overwon the cancer definately a couple of months ago he went in rehad and is now determined to make something good out of his life again... Anyway, may she and the +90 victims of the Norway tragedy rest in peace... Quote ...

No one has a right to speculate on the issues she was having, nor should they compare her career to Celine's. Alcohol and drug addiction is nothing to snicker at...or shun. Because they're still taboo subjects, people believe it's okay to make frankly cruel statements. I've been lucky enough to have never known anyone with serious addictions, but it doesn't mean I haven't educated myself on the subject. Let's just tone down the judgments, shall we? Amy paved the way for artists like me and made people excited about british music again whilst being fearlessly hilarious and blase about the whole thing. i don’t think she ever realised just how brilliant she was and how important she is, but that just makes her even more charming. although im incredibly sad about Amy passing im also reminded of how immensely proud of her i am as well. and grateful to be inspired by her.
