What do you do to feel close/connected to celine?

So, some of us were talking on another thread and it led to my discussing what makes me feel connected/close to her and my routine of singing along with her music and sometimes feeling like I am singing to her. Someone suggested I start this topic, and I have to confess, I'm quite nervous. I'm sure some/most of you will think I am weird/psycho/nuts for this, but here goes anyway.

So what do you do? Sing her songs? Listen to her/ Look at pictures or YouTube videos? Or am I totally insane and the only one who wants/needs/does this? I'm curious.

I do everything mentioned above, when I'm sad or feeling depressed I listen 2 Celine, I feel close to her, her voice refreshes me n I feel a lot better.

I feel connected 2 Celine because SHE'S so connected to her fans, de feelings have 2 be mutual.

I do all the above too plus in 2009 I started making DVDS of myself telling how much she means to me and been posting them to Feelings, now I send them to Ceaser's Palace. I have made booklets, cards also. Its my hope one day I will receieve a letter or anything from her.

Well when i take in her music the most, and fully listen to every word is after a long day and i listen to her with my 10min sleep timer set, and i just think how the song relates to me and those around me. It's powerful cause you focus more when you're tired (every coach's excuse to condition you harder) and it's actually true. So while in the morning music may wake me up, i'm not really listening to the lyrics, (which i've never been good at, just ask Heather) but thinking about the long day ahead of me. Listening @ night before i fall asleep is when i reflect on my day and the song.

I hope Gennie gets a letter or something. If you put any of your DVD's on YT, I/we would love to see/hear them. I lvoe hearing people's voices anyway, it's one way I get to know who you are!

Well for me, when i was very young things happened to me which i cant discuss here, but i was sad, and at around 8 i found Celine, i brought all the way... and fell in love with her, made me feel sooo happy for the first time,

 

Now i surround myself with celine and nomatter what happenes in my life Celine is still there, my collection takes up most of my room, i often wonder whos room it is haha

I do all those things listed above too, singing along is one of my favorites... oh the joy of working those vocal cords to I surrender and turning the rock n' roll factor to max while listening to That's just the woman in me, yeeeah!

I love I Surrender. I need to get back to singing that song. Lately I've been singing things like Falling IN To You, Because you Loved me, Where does My Heart Beat Now, your sig, Sofie, A World To Believe In, etc. I wish I could feel like I was singing with her. I do in that our voices seem to blend okay, but I always visualize her across the room from me and she is listening to me. Sometimes I get the sense that if she were really there she would say something like, don't forget to breathe deeply etc. and try to coach me a bit. i appreciate this aspect, but want what you and Fernando and Roxanne do, and singing with her. I sometimes find lines in the songs that relate to her and point out, across from me, as if saying that is her or something like that. But I had forgotten about I Surrender. right now I am working on the high note of Because You Loved Me. I also sometimes warm up to the new lullaby song or the ones on Miracle. Or the songs from the Falling In to You album.

I like to watch her documentaries and also really enjoy the montage video different people have put together that show her and Rene's love for each other. I don't know why watching how much they love each other makes me feel good, but it does. Celine has a great voice, but it is her humanity and compassion that I think appeals to people. She is capable of loving the unlovable and that makes people like her and want to be around her. The voice is just a bonus.

I do all of that as well. I also can relate Celine in any situation and often speak of her to anyone I talk too. It makes me smile to talk about her because of course it reminds me of her and also it makes others more aware of Celine

 

Seeing and meeting Celine in Las Vegas has also changed my life so I like to talk about it with anyone who will listen as often as I can I just love to tell people how kind Celine really is!

That's a good one, I do that too. If you put the picture really close to your face, try to think away whatever else that's around you and believe like you've never done anything else... voilà, it's almost like you're there!

It depends... For me, feeling connected/close to Céline is kinda like a feeling or a state of mind that's very strong sometimes and not-so-strong at other times. I guess I could say it kinda comes and goes and I can't always control it. I can feel connected to Céline without doing anything special/particular but on the other hand I sometimes don't feel very close to her even if I was listening to her songs or something. I don't know if this makes any sense. It's hard to explain...
