One person people call Martina MCBride the celine of country, but they think instead that Celine is the pop music version of Martina McBride. I know that's not quite how it was worded, but close enough. I never knew that about her and Faith Hill. I can hear it in their vocies now that I have that information that they have indeed tried to be like her vocally. I hear their efforts and attempts, but it didn't work.I of course cite her as one of my influences, but I'm not a singer anyone has ever heard of.What about Shania? She worked with her, didn't she?and I have to say that I think Michael Jackson goes without saying. I know he influenced her, but she inspired him, too. Vanessa met Celine at The American Music Awards & they talked etc. but Vanessa always says something really nice about Celine when asked who her favorite singers/inspirations are. Not to mention in Seventeen magazine Vanessa was on the cover & it had about 5 facts about her on the side & one had a picture of Celine in her pink little mini for the tour & it said Celine was her favorite singer along with Alicia Keys We can't forget the Jonas Brothers either. But there was a video on Youtube a while back where celebrities were talking about Celine. Rihanna was talking about her as well. Whitney said something like "Oh thank you, she's wonderful, she's such a sweetheart, I love her" because the interview guy told Whitney about '04 where Celine was at the WMA show she was giving her little speech for her award & Whitney appeared on the TV & it was one of those TV's that were on the wall so Celine saw the TV & asked hey can we turn it up? but I guess Celine did it herself & she went to turn it up while standing on a chair & she was watching the performance with Courtney Love & Josh Groban while crying.
