My friend moved out of town, her dad is in the military, and I may not get to see her again. I wrote this on her goodbye card i made her, and gave her these drawings of me and her (i threw a little allusion to Celine in there!):

 

The hardest part of any friendship is when it's time to say goodbye,

and even though I wish you could stay,

it's time for you to spread your wings and fly, fly away.

Life is a journey that must be traveled,

and I'm certain you'll make it through,

I just want you to know, and never forget,

I'll always miss you!

So follow your heart, it goes on and on,

If you do, your dreams will surely come true.

i think you've drawn her well.

 

Though I think i can draw better.... maybe before. I used to draw when i was a kid , drawing comic characters was kinda a passion. and i would put all my drawings in a big shoe box. then one day, i couldn't find my shoebox. i ask my osis if she found one because she was cleaning the house, and at that time that i've asked her, she was burning things. and she told me she burned it cos she thought nothing was important inside the box.

 

and that's were i stopped drawing.

 

 

Anyway, maybe you'll have to work more about drawing the fingers

Oh my gosh that is so sad that yo've stopped drawing, but I can certainly understand why. Something happening like that would most certainly traumatize me for a while, it would no longer feel safe to draw because it would just get destroyed anyway. Know that you're older now and that you can draw again, that was then and this is now, we have new tools and ways of doing things.

and VolleyCeline, it's true, we aren't the girl who's moving, but we are here for you just the same.
