Watching that made me wonder (now don't get mad!!!) what's the big deal about Aretha Franklin? Sure, she's talented, but I don't think she's any better than Celine? And I often hear Celine mentioned as one of the highest selling female artists ever... haven't heard that about Aretha?? Celine is a household name for several generations... a lot of young people today don't even know who Aretha Franklin is.. maybe I'm biased and I don't like jazz anyway, but it kinda bugs me that people seem to almost worship her? She is the Queen of Soul, there's no questions about that. She has influenced millions of singers, even without them knowing it, like Mariah said in that interview. But, unlike Mariah said, not because she's the Queen of Soul that means that nobody can sing along with her like Celine did in Divas 98. Anyway, it's all up on everybody's taste and opinions...
