Celine's version was just a single take in the studio when she record it. I bet Charice couldn't quite match that. No other version can top the version of Celine. He poured all her emotion with the song...even Whitney's producers were stunned when Celine record the song. Charice's version was flat, mediocre, karaoke and emotionless. The high note, which is not even live, is mediocre. She struggles to hold on at the end and sounds like she is dying. She is literally dying on the ending note and strains the whole time trying to hold it. The March 20th is better. Less nasal, still lipped, but to a better track....the ending note, I don't see why everyone loves this. It's terrible. Not a belt at all, but a LCMM ish sort of scream. Her best ending note is in the style of what she did on March 16th. That is a real belt. Then after that style comes the normal note she did in FIY tour, then the TCWT ending note (when it wasn't strained), then the style of the 20th, and finally, last is the style she did in Australia on the FIY tour. Strangly enough, the two most similiar is the Australia style and the 16th. The difference is she strained like hell in Australia to hit the Eb5, but was flawless on the 16th in Vegas. A couple of the times in Vegas was not that flawless though, and the way she hit it on the 20th was a sad attempt to try to do the 16th, but it went terribly wrong. As far as the Eb5/E5 goes.... A lot of them have strain and are just okay. My votes go to the Grammy performance...yes, the actual note is cracked, but she recovers fantastically, the Australia performance, and the March 20th...I think that ending note is incredible, full voice, head voice, nose voice, butt voice, whatever it may be. Haha, I know her voice was real strained, but I like that "raw" sound to her voice. It wasn't like her voice was ready to explode like say for instance the LBDB performance from 2005. It wasn't like that kind of cracking, it was like sheer power raw cracking...that's what it sounds like to me anyway. I love it. Her 16th performance was great for sure. She's been sounding really good this last month at the end of that song for sure. I need to go back and compare them. I love that she still hits notes she did in her 20's though, that's awesome to me. Quote

Maybe a lot of the Glee viewers have not heard of Celine's version before, and therefor vote for Charice's. But like you all say in here, Charice is capable of imitating voices and she does it well but I am not impressed nor impressed by her acting skills.
