SuperLove4Celine Posted April 18, 2011 at 08:27 PM Posted April 18, 2011 at 08:27 PM Elton John is returning to Caesars Palace starting September 28th for a 3 year gig with his new upcoming show "The Million $ Piano." The show is set to include audience participation. Plus, talks of Shania Twain coming on board are getting stronger as each month passes. It looks like the "free time" The Colosseum has between Celine's performances is going to be eaten up very soon. If anybody was hoping for additional shows to be added, I'm afraid you may be out of luck. Quote

Well, nobody can say no to money. I think after it was over and he hit the road again and had to travel, he came to his senses and realized that in CP he can put on a great show, travel less and have some of the best sound in the world. I wish Celine would have allowed fan participation in the set-list, and i side note: Shania Twain is amazing, im glad of her return to music, and i hope CP sings her Quote
LVCeline Posted April 20, 2011 at 08:40 PM Posted April 20, 2011 at 08:40 PM I was so excited to find out EJ is coming back to Caesar's. I saw him in Vegas last time and the show was great. I hope he changes the set list up a bit from his usual...(on a side note about previous comments, I thought I saw an article where Shania was no longer comfortable singing in front of people so I wonder how she'd consider Vegas...) Performing at The Colosseum would actually be a great way of "easing back into the saddle." The arena only holds about 4,300 spectators as opposed to the tens of thousands that many large venues such as Staples old. After a year or two of "getting back into the swing of things," I'm sure we'll see the new album get released (if not in conjunction with the new show) and then Shania will announce a tour. Anyway, back to Elton...I really wish I had been able to see "The Red Piano" when it was playing. I guess I'll have to opt for buying the DVD. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of audience participation he's going to do (aside from bringing spectators onstage to sing with him). Quote
RLAAMJR. Posted April 21, 2011 at 10:00 AM Posted April 21, 2011 at 10:00 AM When Elton John released the song, Your Song, did people already knew his preference? and was that song for a guy he loves? Quote
Bell Posted March 19, 2013 at 06:51 AM Posted March 19, 2013 at 06:51 AM Hi, guys! I've got a question. Last night I was listening to 'Blues Never Fade Away'. Once I heard the story of this great song but wasn't really that interested in it back then. So... Do we know the people he refers to in the song? Who are they? Well, obviously, John Lennon is one of them and, as far as I remember, Gianni Versace is among those people, too. But he refers to 2 more people. Do we know who they are? LVCeline Posted March 20, 2013 at 03:23 AM Posted March 20, 2013 at 03:23 AM Elton did a documentary when the album came out and talked about Blues Never Fade Away. The first verse refers to a friend of his and Bernie's who owned a restaurant in L.A. and was one of the first people to get AIDS "He wasn't famous but I sure did love himI got his picture in a little frameHe lost his life to a big diseaseBefore it even had a name" The second verse refers to a young female friend of Bernie's who had a brain aneurysm in a store on Hollywood Blvd "She was twenty-one with her life aheadYou don't need to know her nameShe breathed her last on the cold stone floorOf a Hollywood arcade" The third verse refers to Elton's good friend Giani Versace "He shone so bright with a lust for lifeLike the Sun King that he wasHis passions hung upon his wallsAnd were printed on to cloth" Quote
