Celine was mentioned (not in a good way...but it was funny) and MHWGO played in a scene. I've never watched the show before, but I thought it was pretty good. But she wouldn't have been a destitute lounge singer. D'eux was the best selling French album of all time. Falling into you is one of the best selling albums ever released, period. Even without those two albums she was already an international touring artist and making millions and millions I get that it's a joke, and that I'm over-analyzing. I just see similar sentiments online all the time, dismissing all of celine's success as stemming from titanic. OF course I know that Titanic took her fame to its greatest heights. I've followed Supernatural since its first season and all I can tell is that being mentioned on the show is totally flattering 'coz they only "quote" and put down to the classics.The show is all about having a blast, specially when it comes to making of fun of the show itself.... It is the song MOST people know her by, but not all. And in the end, I don't really care how Other people see her, I care how WE see her, the true, loyal, hard-core fans who will love her hopefully no matter what.But, I can only imagine she herself would get a laugh about it, they do say that bad attention is better than infamy or none at all. And I for one do NOT at all think she is ever headed fo infamy even though I know that, quite incredibly sadly, some already think she's there. booooooooooo!!!!!!!
