smash Posted April 12, 2011 at 05:48 PM Posted April 12, 2011 at 05:48 PM I think she will do a world tour again. Not in between the Vegas shows though. The whole idea of her going to Vegas, was that she can be together with the family, not going off now and then to do a concert somewhere. She says she will definately tour again, she did not say when though. So after 3 or 5 years. If she does do it, it takes a long long time to sort something like that out, not just a few months. Lots and lots of preparation. So hope she will come here again, i think they really enjoyed themselves the last time they came. :in_love: :in_love: Quote
CynthiaTDL Posted April 12, 2011 at 06:02 PM Posted April 12, 2011 at 06:02 PM I don't believe that until I see her saying that from her mouth. Come on, she has just started her 3 year contract in Vegas, how would she say what she's going to do in 3 years?? It was also mentioned that Rene' and Celine were in negoitations to add to the three year run in Vegas. Quote CynthiaTDL

All I know thought at the end of the day, I want to go see her wherever, whenever she is. And I know she loves to sing, so I don't see her leaving us anytime soon. We know she is still popular because we follow her practically on a daily/weekly basis, but to the eyes of the general public, it seems she's an artist of the past and is semi-retired. JasonFromTheMoon Posted April 13, 2011 at 09:09 PM Posted April 13, 2011 at 09:09 PM I might be mistaking, but do some of you actually mean that she did what she did, she's now getting old and TCWT might be her last world tour ever? Are you jokin' me?? Madonna, Cher and even BARBRA STREISAND - all of them did world tours on much older age than Celine's and the first two especially will do it again and again for sure. I mean do you think Celine with all that energy and stage love she has inside will stop touring because she's old? And to not talking about family reasons, that's ridiculous for me! Of course she's going to tour again, no matter if she'll stay in Vegas for 3, 5 or 15 years. Quote Welcome to the "Loved Me Back To Life" era!http://s10.postimg.org/j8wfwy3ah/Fotor0101825542.jpg

We could discuss what Celine's standing is in today's entertainment or music world (I posted my opinion about this a while ago and don't want to repeat myself here), but assuming that with more video clips she'd be as massively successful as she was in the 1990s is simply ridiculous... Yentl Anchel Posted April 14, 2011 at 09:54 AM Posted April 14, 2011 at 09:54 AM Indeed, music industry has changed a lot the past decade. It's not about videoclips and it is certanly NOT about releasing as much as posible albums. I think it is more about the airplay and I think it's partly also about the LEGAL downloads. In my opinion, I think there are no CDs anymore whitin 15 years from now and that it is only donwload based. And the fact pl think she stopped singing... Sony doesn't promote her that much, casue her name alone is enough to sell. And remember that most of her shows during the TC tour were sold out.. and that's not because only die-hard fans bought a ticket... And even with the new show in Vegas.... It's again a show you must see like A New Day... At the end I think we just have to accept that Céline just releases albums and doesn't do that much music videos and that Sony doesn't promote her.. But still sells... Who the hell watches music videos nowadays? We could discuss what Celine's standing is in today's entertainment or music world (I posted my opinion about this a while ago and don't want to repeat myself here), but assuming that with more video clips she'd be as massively successful as she was in the 1990s is simply ridiculous... Are you trying to say music videoclips are not important today anymore? Tell that to Beyoncé's "Single Ladies" or Lady Gaga! Have you forgotten something called Youtube where EVERYONE is watching millions of videos each day, including music videoclips?? They may not be seen in TV anymore, but that's because people is in the Internet watching online in websites like Youtube, Facebook etc. Videoclips are a powerful tool today to promote a song, and more than ever I would say. Only that if you enter Celine Dion's youtube channel, the most recent "real" videoclip she has is the one for Taking Chances single. 1 videoclip for an 18 track album Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

Lady Gaga is 'hot' at the moment, all the media fall over themselves to report even the smallest of her activities - but Celine is much too established and somehow affected by her image and the perception that many people have of her to benefit from this. In other words, I can't see how any video of Celine could go viral, unless she decides to sing naked or something like that. Moreover, I think you somehow overestimate the inportance of Youtube. I think I said this earlier (so, sorry for repeating myself), but there are a) many music listeners out there who don't rely on Youtube etc. to decide which artists they like and the fact that a certain video is watched millions of times doesn't necessarily mean that this is an important building bloc to a a successful and enduring career - it can be a hype that is over quickly, as soon as the next hype arrives, so that nobody recalls the first one... So, yes, I would say that for Celine and many other highly successful artists, video doesn't matter anymore... Edited April 14, 2011 at 11:40 AM by enno2007 Quote

Even thou I agree with Davey and Bellamy about sticking on the Topic's subject and stop talking about her career and stuff, I must say that I so agree with you on this. And now, about the topic. I don't know if this is a reliable tabloid or not, but I do think she could go on tour again. I mean, she loves to sing, loves to travel and she has always said that touring brings another kinds of energy and that she loves that, so I don't think she's gonna stop doing it. About Britney and Kyle performing on the Colosseum, I think they could be the replacement when Celine is on holidays. Anyway, if she decides not to do it anymore and stay in Vegas, I would do all the impossible to go and see her there like I'm gonna do to see this new show. I missed the chance to see AND and the TCWT in Manchester, and don't want to miss the oportunity to see her anymore. Quote http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3216/5786913948_369265dbeb_m.jpg FERLO
