riobeard11 Posted April 20, 2011 at 03:10 PM Posted April 20, 2011 at 03:10 PM Thanks! She sounded a little shaky for a second during the beginning Open Arms? And I also like the little pause they added in the beginning of LCMM! Quote

fanfromcanada Posted April 22, 2011 at 02:47 AM Posted April 22, 2011 at 02:47 AM Hi Everyone ! My husband and I returned back from our first trip to Vegas. We attended the show on Sunday night. Not only was this the first time that I had been to Vegas, but the first time I had seen Celine LIVE in concert. This was truly the highlight of the trip for me. I was so excited !! We arrived at the theatre early enough to grab a drink, and head on upstairs in the 2 MEZ to our seats. I was just in awww of the whole entire theatre, and was so anxious and excited to see Celine. I don't know if its my hormones or what, but lately Celine's music makes me cry. But I believe that this being my very first time seeing her LIVE, I was a bit of an emotional wreak (in a good way) Of course when the show started, and the montage started, I was just even more excited. The way the put together the montage from when she did her last performance at Vegas, up until now. I think its was very fitting. When those curtins moved upwards, and Celine was standing there, and started to sing Open Arms, I couldn't help myself but to cry. Even though I may have not had the cloest seats as others had, to hear her angel like voice LIVE gave me goosbumps like you wouldn't believe and I became very emotional. Thank goodness for the kleenex in my purse. Her entire show was truly amazing. I mean to hear her sing live is just like listening to her on CD, yet she is 100X better if you know what I mean ? I know MANY of you here have seen Celine on more than one occasion, so many understand what I mean when I say that. I've seen her video from A New Day show, plus of course her video from her Take Chances tour. And now to have seen her 'Celine' show - this show definitly showcases her magnificant voice, with the outstanding orchestra along with her, with a few effects here and there throughout the show, that doesn't over power what we are truly there to see and hear - Celine Dion !!! She sang a lot of my favorite songs I wanted to hear, and the cover songs she sang were just as enjoyable, because Celine was singing them. To learn that she will be in Las Vegas for a longer run, seeing Celine again is a good possibility, because both my husband and I fell in love with Las Vegas and will definitly go back there again. Claudette Posted May 5, 2011 at 05:03 PM Posted May 5, 2011 at 05:03 PM I cannot get over how good ''All By Myself'' sounds these days. Not just the last few notes, but the whole song. What an improvement from that nasal version on the TC tour DVD/CD's. She sounds absolutely amazing! And is it just me or is she still sniffing in the first few lines. She's definitely sniffling a bit still It's a big change from the tour doing Eyes on Me and then being out of breath for All By Myself...now she has to sing the most depressing song ever and then jump right into it! But I think it's amazing Quote

takeachance Posted May 7, 2011 at 11:57 PM Posted May 7, 2011 at 11:57 PM She got about 5 standing ovations that saturday night , and after the french song the applaud was so good that her video man ran out on the stage to record! ya she totally needs a kleenex guy giving her kleenex constantly!!! Acacia Posted May 8, 2011 at 12:23 AM Posted May 8, 2011 at 12:23 AM I'm still working on my review...I promise!! but I wanted to post to say that on the 15th, someone in the audience did give her a kleenex. It was so cute!!! She noticed right away and ran down to get it. I don't remember which row the person was in, but it was near the stage. Once she took it and was back on stage she wiped her eyes and then started to sing "All By Myself" and about half-way through the song she stuffed the kleenex down the sleeve of her dress. I got such a good laugh from that! Quote http://oi52.tinypic.com/2aaavxd.jpg ♥ Thank you, Céline for giving me the greatest birthday I could ask for! ♥
Claudette Posted May 8, 2011 at 10:44 AM Posted May 8, 2011 at 10:44 AM (edited) Awwww, how sweet is that. I love it when she notices the audience members. Everytime she realizes somebody wants to give her something she makes the cutest faces. Wish we could see a video. sanho Posted May 8, 2011 at 06:17 PM Posted May 8, 2011 at 06:17 PM Yes, when she put the kleenex in her sleeve it was very funny, because she added something like "You know, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas"....like noone else but the audience should know where she has her used-kleenex-storage :-) Quote

Acacia Posted May 9, 2011 at 06:23 AM Posted May 9, 2011 at 06:23 AM (edited) I decided to split my review into separate posts since it's so long. That way you can decide what you want to read, and skip what you want. Won't be posting all of it tonight, but will try to have it all done soon! Hope you enjoy! ------- Vegas was Amazing, Pure and Simple It’s so hard to believe that it’s already been three weeks since I returned home from Las Vegas. It was the most amazing experience of my life and I will never, ever forget it!!! I left knowing that a dream would come true – seeing Céline in concert for the first time. What I got was the opportunity of a lifetime. Céline held my hand, and waved to me!!! I attended three shows (April 15, 16, 17) and each of them was special in their own way! I also had the opportunity to meet René, Nick, and Patrick! It was the most amazing thing ever and a life-changing experience. This vacation also showed me how limited my Céline vocabulary is…so expect to see words like “amazing” and “unbelievable” multiple times haha. Acacia Posted May 9, 2011 at 06:24 AM Posted May 9, 2011 at 06:24 AM (edited) En Route to Las Vegas! From the moment I arrived at Sea-Tac airport in Seattle I was a burst of excitement, so much so that I was shaking. I looked out the window and saw the plane that would take me to Vegas…or rather to say Oakland, and then another plane would take me to Vegas. When I boarded the plane, I tapped the outside, just like Céline. My excitement was building, but even more so when I arrived in Oakland. I kept thinking to myself how I’m in a different state! And now I’m waiting for a flight to Vegas! I sat by a guy who was on the phone and said he was going to Vegas. I smiled. On the plane I sat behind a guy with a baseball cap that said “Las Vegas” on the back. I just kept thinking of how this is really happening! I’m going to Vegas!!! When the plane landed in Vegas I was shaking again. I kept breathing deeply to try to keep myself calm. I looked out the window and could see some of the casinos. I thought of how close I am to Céline. The flight attendant welcomed us to Vegas and I just had the biggest smile on my face!!! When I walked into the airport I saw slot machines…welcome to Vegas! I made my way to baggage claim and started looking for the Céline billboard. Once I found it I sat down and logged onto Facebook so that I could check in at McCarran International Airport. It felt like I accomplished something great! So many people before me checked in here and now I’m doing it! I still had the biggest smile on my face! Acacia Posted May 9, 2011 at 06:30 AM Posted May 9, 2011 at 06:30 AM First Night in Vegas! It was a great feeling when I arrived and settled into my hotel room. I called back home to let them know I arrived safe, and now I was ready to explore Vegas!!! I stepped outside and just stood there staring up at the buildings. I had so many emotions running though my head, yet I stood there speechless. I kept thinking of how this had been a dream for so long though photographs, videos, and imagination, and now it’s really happening! It’s Vegas for real and I was ready to explore every inch of it! I began my sightseeing at MGM Grand, since it was closest to my hotel. I must’ve had a million thoughts running through my head as I reached my hand out to open the door. I didn’t really know what to expect, but I knew it was going to be great! And boy was it! I immediately fell in love with the atmosphere. I loved that despite it being night there was still hundreds of people out and about! It was much different from the small town I come from. I wanted to stay out all night! I did A LOT of sightseeing at MGM Grand and New York, and then I made my way to Paris! I have such a love for the Québécoise and French culture, so I couldn’t wait to get inside Le Casino! But, once there I noticed how close Caesars Palace was, and I thought it would be a great opportunity to pick up my tickets! I quickly realized that the walking distance was longer than I expected, but I arrived at Caesars Palace without problems. Acacia Posted May 9, 2011 at 06:36 AM Posted May 9, 2011 at 06:36 AM The Colosseum Waking into Caesars Palace was magical. It felt like home. Somehow I knew my way around the casino, despite never looking at a map or looking up at the directories. I walked in, took a right, and when I saw the huge poster of Matt Goss, I knew I was getting close! A few steps later, I saw the “Céline’s Back” poster and I instantly had a smile on my face. Then a few steps more and I was in front of The Colossum. I had a moment where I felt like I was going to cry tears of happiness. I looked straight ahead to the poster and I thought of how so many Céline fans have sat there. I looked at the brown doors and thought of how they lead into The Colosseum. It really made me think of the struggle it took to get there and how I had accomplished what I thought was impossible! Acacia Posted May 9, 2011 at 06:40 AM Posted May 9, 2011 at 06:40 AM The Boutique I then turned to my left and saw The Boutique. I think this is when I really realized just how many people are here to see Céline – I don’t know that many people in person that are Céline fans. I walked in and there was a good size of people there. To the right were a couple women debating which shirt looks better on them, and to their right was another woman with several items in her hand. I had such a big smile on my face! I kept thinking, “Wow they’re spending their hard earned money on Céline!” It was kind of that moment where I realized that yes, there are other Céline fans in this world!!! I’m not alone!!! I looked around and found several things that I wanted to buy, but because of the high prices I wanted to take some time to think of what I could and couldn’t live without. So I decided to buy the tour program for $30 and then come back later if I wanted to buy other things. While I was there, three songs played - Et S'il N'en Restait Qu'une, That’s The Way It Is, and A New Day Has Come. Acacia Posted May 9, 2011 at 06:44 AM Posted May 9, 2011 at 06:44 AM Picking Up My Tickets! I then made my way to the Box Office where I picked up my tickets! And just in time, seeing as it was 9:45 PM. Holding them was magical! I kept thinking about the 300 minutes I would spend with Céline! And I thought of how at that moment I was in the same building as her and family. I was bursting with happiness!!! I didn’t feel ready to go back to the hotel, but because I was holding what I considered to be the three most valuable things ever, I didn’t want to take the risk of them being lost or stolen. So I made my way back to the hotel. Done posting for tonight. Quote http://oi52.tinypic.com/2aaavxd.jpg ♥ Thank you, Céline for giving me the greatest birthday I could ask for! ♥

Acacia Posted May 24, 2011 at 01:39 AM Posted May 24, 2011 at 01:39 AM Thanks Lindsey and lnnl, and yes I went by myself. First Full Day in Vegas! I woke up the next morning with a smile on my face and completely pumped up to go and explore Vegas for the day!!! I quickly got dressed and ate, and then my butt was out the door! I purchased a bus pass and rode the bus to Caesars Palace. I got off there so I could continue my sightseeing from where I left off the night before. I quickly found myself so fascinated by the size and architecture design of the buildings, especially Caesars and The Venetian. My words can’t do justice of how much I loved what was around me. I couldn’t take pictures fast enough, nor could I walk fast enough. I hopped onto the travelator not knowing where it would take me, but so excited because it was leading me to new and exciting things! Acacia Posted May 24, 2011 at 01:41 AM Posted May 24, 2011 at 01:41 AM Lions, Lions, and More Lions! After five hours of sightseeing I decided to head back to the hotel, but once there I didn’t feel like sitting around and 4 PM felt too early to start preparing for the concert, so I thought of what I could do and the lions at MGM Grand instantly popped in my head. I rushed over there because I had read they were fed at 4:30. Once there I fell in love with them. There were three lionesses. They spent most of the time sleeping, but it was adorable because they would kick their feet and move their arms, and one of them was sleeping on her back. After an hour I decided it was time to go. For some reason they weren't fed when they were suppose to, but I still had a good time watching them! I then made my way back to the hotel so I could prepare for my first Céline concert!
