As weird as it sounds, I actually think it would have been more robotic back then, as compared to today. Up until D'eux tour it was like, robotic French and real English, then after that it flipped.

 

Just look at how robotic Le Blues Du Businessman sounds.

 

Couldn't agree more; I think her best live version of that song came in 1999 at the Juno Awards.

 

 

Her voice today is as good as it was in 1995, so I don't care to hear it from back then.

 

C'mon, she'll never get the voice she had back then, time has its effects.

Yes, she won't be as good as she was in her peak, but she is at the next best thing, which is still better than 96-99.

I am really glad Céline did this song.

 

I've been wishing for it for some time.

 

It would had been swell to have a live recording of it from a huge arena concert like from one of tours.

 

I've had a feeling however that it wont last long in the show. Hope that feeling is wrong.

 

 

 

BTW: did Céline actually say she expected to get an Oscar for acting? Doesn't sound so humble.

I'm thinking it was probably sarcasm..Celine never sounds that conceded.

I think some songs sounded great in the past, but with time, you get to know them better, feel them better, understand them better... And for that, you start interpretating the song in a different way. So I think, even thou she always had that great voice, now she feels the song different, and that's the reason why, IMO, she's singing it now...
