I am an Aussie who lives and works in the US. I have been a mad fan of Celine since I can remember. I have been ridiculed and taunted for a large part of my following by people that cannot appreciate a true talent when they see one. I have stood my ground however and have been an out and proud supporter!! I went to the March 25 concert and was lucky enough to have Celine hold my hand while singing to me. It was the greatest night of my life. I did get close to her when she was doing her Taking Chances tour. Myself and 10 other fans paid the outrageous amount of money to do the before concert tour where we got to watch her warm up. She came over and talked to us briefly, but it was still amazing. Anyways, it is nice to know that I am not alone in my obession.... Helen Quote

It was a great experience and looking forward to going back again 2012 & 2013....want the same seats so maybe lightning will strike twice and I will get a second hand hold It is also interesting to see where everyone else is...she has such a vast coverage of fans. I think they just do not get it, they cannot see/understand for the life of them the immense extent of the ways we feel for/toward/about her, the things we will do for her, the lengths we will go to to be with/near/around her, one of my biggest things is that I so want to do anything I can to support her. Does she need it, well, no she has all the confidence in herself she needs and plenty of support around her. But I believe it makes us feel good about ourselves and like we are contributing to her, like in some itsy, bitsy, tiny little way, we're part of it and making it happen because as we give to her, she gives back. I have many issues with my mom, she is my biggest taunter and internalized critic. When I went to her TC show in Sacramento, Ca, my mother's voice was in my head the whole time going, you'll look so stupid if you get excited, you're too loud, too much, you are ruining other people's experience of her and interrupting. And the two women I went with didn't help, but there's nothing I would love more than to go see her and shout out my support and affirmation to her, especially during difficult songs, vocally or emotionally. So, long and short, I can sooooooo relate!!! You are sooooooooo not alone!! I went to the March 25 concert and was lucky enough to have Celine hold my hand while singing to me.Was she singing to everyone or for a moment, just to you? And what song was it, if I may? No one messes with my singer, well, around here, we say our Celine. She belongs to all of us, and no one, here there or everywhere, messes with her and doesn't hear about it. I was FORC4, HH. But on the 26th I saw her again. I sat FORCH3 AA and she held me hand then too! So I totally know how you felt then. It was like there was no one else in the room, especially when she looks right at you singing. Unbelievable. Quote

It upsets me so much when people mock her. I understand that perhaps her music is not everyones taste, but surely you can see that her voice is amazing. You have to appreciate the work that she has put in to get where she is today - english her second language. I could go on with praise forever but will refrain...................have to get some work done today. SLK9683 - So glad that you finally did get to touch her hand. Perhaps she was just so into the song the first time she went past you? You wouldnt happen to have any footage of the 25th would you? It is a wonderful experience - very happy for you..... I cant wait to go back there again - yes I will be in the sitting in the same area, anything less would be disappointing.......greedy I think I am a member of Team Celine as well and the people on there are lovely... It is just a lovely community all around...how can it not be, look who our leader is.... Quote

petstar12 Posted April 30, 2011 at 12:48 AM Posted April 30, 2011 at 12:48 AM Hi evereyone This is the right place if you a Celine Dion fan which I am I live in Perth west Australia which seems along way from the USA but we have been lucky to have Celine come here 2 time one for a concert and once for a telathon.I like her because she is the person she is down to earth you get what you see and that nice in todays world.I also wanted to do something to help Celine charity so I am donating all money I get from my artwork to them ..Hay if it helps I do not mind C.F is a rotten thing to have so helpping other makes me happy.It would be nice one day to meet her but I am not Holding my breath on that one since she has so many fans that want to do the same!!!!!!!!! even getting a reply is ...not easy so again not hold my breath as I thing there is little chance but anyway Love her voice and the way she is as a persons prity more famous people are not like her. best wishesjane Quote
