Celine songs inspiration for photoshoot

Hi everyone,

Here's an interesting photo shoot done by Jana Cruder for Seven Magazine, it portrays seven of Celine's songs through body paint. This is a behind the scenes look at the preparation and shoot. Each body painting took SEVEN hours to complete!

I wasn't able to find the actual finished spread, so if any one finds that it would be cool to see the end result! There are four completed pictures in this behind the scenes look though. Two of the songs are pretty apparent: Halfway to Heaven and BATB... the other two are questionable.. my guesses are Only One Road and maybe One Heart?

Have a look they're pretty cool!

(Also, I searched and didn't find this anywhere on the forum, so hopefully I didn't miss it! If I did feel free to close 'er up mods :) )

DO NOT STEAL MY SIGNATURE

"It's hard in a recording studio, because I'm infront of a microphone, I have to imagine all of you and then I'm able to sing the songs for you...Now I'm still infront of a microphone, with all of you right infront of me, to see all of your faces, That's why I still do it!" (wild applause) thankyou for the flowers - Celine after a flower moment 9-22-08

"Live, for the one I love. Love, as no one has loved. Give, asking nothing in return. And love, until love wears me away.

I'll die, and I know my love will stay. And I know, I know, my love will stay."

what do you guys think for the other two photos that aren't obvious? Only One Road and One Heart... or something else? Those were the only two that really popped into my head when I saw them...

I also think it's really cool that they did HTH, it's not a well known song but it's amazing.

This could be "I drove all night". the feeling it evokes is pretty intense "this fever for you is just burning me up inside". the painting reminded me to it. and the other one could be one heart, yes. the colours and the fantasy wig and veils... but those apples like if it were adam and eve's paradise mmmmm, makes me think... I want to see the the final result with the names of the songs! I'm intrigued!

Thank you very much for this information, I lved the idea and the results^^

Yes, I thought of IDAN as an afterthought as well... hmm. The "fever" and flames is a good correlation. Also the moon and deep blue sky... "driving ALL NIGHT" Yes I think IDAN fits it much better.

Also, those might be the only four pictures... I thought I read somewhere that it was seven... but maybe because it's in Seven Magazine I just got that number stuck in my head  Fail.

Merci Céline pour ces deux soirées inoubliables que j'ai passées à tes côtés. Je ne les oublierais jamais.

J't'adore Céline.

Merci.

and also the background with the lights remind me to the edgy rythm of the song ^^

They should do more things like this, it is a really beautiful work. I wish I had the skills so I could make a painting of each song of celine. that would be awesome^^

I'm still thinking which other song could be the last picture... I don't want to believe that it is that obvious. I want a little challenge! lol

"I Drove All Night" Body Painted by Jasmine Ringo using Makeup Forever One of Celine's biggest hits in recent years. This painting was a mix of Van Gogh Starry Night and the concept of the never ending road. Airbrushing was used as a technique to create various details of the flames on her legs. The fire coming up her legs symbolizes the passion of love bursting through her body as she is on her journey to see her lover. The wig featured lights that moved throughout her hair as flashing lights. Paint Time: 4 hours Edited by amelie

"Power of Love" Body Painted by Lijha Stewart using Makeup Forever The song was one of the first songs that the artist ever heard by Celine, and has remained her favorite. The concept was based on the passion and power of her voice in the song and how it bursts through the entire body. The detail and blending of colors were designed based off of the love shockra. The wig was a combination of ethereal and bursts of color. Paint Time: 4 hours Edited by amelie

That is such a tribute, and I like them just as paintings as well. Cool concept. :) I had a really hard time figuring out what songs they were inspired by before I read it though. We know to many Céline-songs!

Thank you so much for the post...that is truly inspiring. I'm wondering if we can all do something like that on this forum? Perhaps each member choose a song, and create some type of art work that represents that song, take a picture and post it as an online museum!  And then maybe we can one day bring all the artwork together and create a "gallery" and perhaps the Colosseum will display it? (wishful thinking)

BTW...my guess for the picture with the european style hair and red/yellow bodypaint would be ....TO LOVE YOU MORE...that song has violins and is very passionate...sounds like what it would look like in that picture.

Thanks for finding the real info for these! Where did you find it at?

Also, I don't think I ever would've guessed TPOL from that one... TPOL is a much more serious song and I feel like this one is so alive!

You are very welcome! I couldn't believe it hadn't been covered yet... I'm almost always the last person to know things like this!

I love your idea of having a "gallery" of pieces made by the fans for every song!!! Let's get going on it! I feel like every one here is so inspired by all of Céline's music... we would create some truly remarkable pieces of art!
