Meeting Celine/Rene in Vegas

Has anyone been lucky enough to meet Celine or Rene while in Las Vegas? If so, they should post their experiences!

I met Rene after the show last night but It went very quick I exited the doors to where u enter the colloseum and I look to my left where the bar is and I hear ppl screaming Rene Rene, so I kinda made my way up to him and asked for a pic and in his calm quiet voice he said sure,I thanked him and that was it,I so did not expect that, omg I was shakin after,someone I met before the show saw me and she hugged me and I was like jumping up and down crying almost, my oh my.

I have met Barney in Las Vegas and have a pic with him. :wub: It was very nice experience - didn't thought Barney is such a big guy, when he shook my hand, his hand was huuuge, lol! But he's also extremely kind and funny, nice guy to chat with! :wub:

As for René, he walkpassed my husband when he was waiting for me while I was in the rest room, argh!!! :evil:

My husband hasn't said anything to René, just smiled at him but there were some other people screeming his name. If I were there, I would probably have asked for an autographe as I had a copy of "TCWT Deluxe Edition" with me. Unfortunately my camera was already checked in than, it was before the show.

Of course it would be nice to have a pic with René, maybe one day?

Seems like I'm kinda unlucky when it comes to him, he was so close to me for a few times already but somehow I never really got to say anything to him, not speaking about autographs of photos.

I wish! I did meet Elise on wednesday 23rd... I swear it was the best day ever! First, Celine held my hand during the show which had me in tears and then I met Elise, and we talked for like five minutes. She even asked my name and pronounced it RIGHT! I was like "I'm Roma" as in an american accent, which is not how it's pronounced but that's the only way americans can say it and understand it and then she goes: "Oh! RrrrrOMA!" in an italian accent! And I was like "FINALLY someone who pronouces it right!" She's super nice and took a couple of pics with me. Told me to come back soon and that she loves my country!... Awesome night was beyond awesome!

I met Rene on opening night. It was when he was doing some interviews before the premiere. When he was done, he literally walked right through the crowd and across the casino floor to head back up to the room they're staying in at Caesar's Palace. So I followed him to the elevator. :-D

He seemed preoccupied (obviously, because of opening night)… but he was very nice.

The whole Team of Céline seems very nice!

But I was just wondering ... why did so many fans meet Rene after the concert? Is he going around at Colloseum/entry? Isn't he leaving with Céline through a backstage-exit / the garage? :huh:

I think because they are staying in the Hotel there. But I'm sure Celine uses a back entry/exit to her hotel room. The only person I have met who is related to Celine, is Michael (her brother). But that was back in 2006 :wub: He was very kind.

The only one who doesn't enter through the Colosseum public entrance is Celine and family. Everyone else comes and goes through that door, including Rene. So bring your camera or whatever in case you run into Anne, Zhane, Elise, Barnev, Yves, Patrick, etc...

When I saw A New Day in 2007 I had waited an hour after the show to see my photo taken with the Celine figure. I was almost to the front of the line when Mego and many dancers came out the side door near the theater. I was like, ugh!!! After I was no longer in line I saw Zhane and practically followed her out to the parking garage but I was too shy to say anything!! I regret not talking to her now lol.

She is much shorter and muscular than you would think. If I could have said anything I would have told her "I love your hair!" lol

I had Zhane cut and colour my hair while I was in Vegas...she is so nice and of course we had lots to talk about! She even said that I have the same type of hair as Celine!

HELL YEA KERRY

Celine was so kind & amazing-she is really a world class lady. I started crying as soon as I heard footsteps like I was balling uncontrolable but she rushed into my wide open arms & everything was prefect. I could oonly say 2 things because I was shaking and crying-they were 'I love you' and "thankyou" I manage to type the words "hero" and "inspiration' into my Lightwriter and then Celine said I w...as her inspiration and I just lost it. I thoughtto myself No NO celine YOU ARE MINE! Celine also said the reason she sings was because of me and she would sing BATB and MHWGO for me that night. i made the whole room cry even NICK! LOL I got 10 minutes I felt bad for the others who were waiting but, i couldn't help it. At one point i tried to leave but Celine said "give her a chance" & from that second on I knew Celine was real. I didn't expect that, I am not sure what I expected but, not that.

The whole team were amazing, they took care of me. After the show I was presented with my photos. They paied for our drinks and showed us to our seats. Theres a chance of another M & G next year. I'm not sure when yet I'm really hoping that Jane Terpend Claypool will ring my mum because she still thinks the raffle was fake.

Just to end- I have never met a kindierm supportive bunch of people in my life as i have on facebook. Thank you so much for your love, friendship on my path to meeting Celine. I know I have made friends that will last a lifetime even if we never meet.

YAY GENNI!!!

Here's mine:

My lovely friend Essence5 & her sister surprised me with the news of a M&G on June 14

Apparently she knew about it for 1 month and did not tell me until 15mins before we had

to meet up with Celine's staff to be escorted inside. I pretty much had a little freak-out on the casino floor :whee:

I had to clutch my chest, make sure to breathe and remember to walk to the Colosseum.

In the 25mins that we waited, I ran through what I wanted to say but I also got more nervous and more cold!

Eventually I had to sit on my hands and also stand up to get the blood moving.

Celine finally came and my friend was able to read off a very touching part of her letter.

They hugged like 2 times and got a photo. I was going to get my solo time with Celine

but Patrick said we had to take a group photo because time was running out.

Before the photo, I managed to say what I wanted to say and show her the Chicago/Oprah photo

I took with her last year (my profile pic). She said "It's good to have you here in Vegas!"

I also told her where the 3 of us sat because we were in FOrch 6 Row 2/3 (touching the stage)

She said "Ok! I'll look for you girls even though the stage light is VERY bright!!"

After our group photo, my friends were ready to leave through the door but I froze & stood there.

I asked Celine if I could give her a hug and a kiss on the cheek, and she was more than happy to :wub:

Since I am short, I could feel her head almost on top of mine when we hugged. Hahaha

Later on during the show when Celine was singing "Because You Loved Me" on our side of the stage,

she saw the 3 of us right away That was pretty cool! I also waved to Elise & Mego and they waved back!

During the next night (when Celine did her Emmy's video recording for Oprah),

Essence5 & I had front row seats and when Celine came down the aisle to sing her duet,

we stood up and she recognized us! She gave my friend's hand a quick squeeze, and

I blew a huge kiss to Celine because she stood in front of me. What a perfect way to end the 2 nights!!

thats so sweet Kerry.. when I left the room Celine sobbed/cried on my carers shoulder for 2 mintues and they she got a box of tissues annd pass them around to her whole team and said GUYS PULL IT TOGETHER, WE HAVE A SHOW TO DO. I made Celine 10mintues late LOL

How long did it take to find your seats? and how many people were meeting Celine?

We had about 10 people in our group. We were the only fans though because everyone else

were older and they were Celine & Rene's personal friends...
