Now anyone who follows the entertainment media in the UK will know all about the hype surrounding the possibility (or not) of Cheryl Cole being on the show and lately the buzz seems to have been surrounding Nicole Scherzinger, Rihanna and Katy Perry. But Simon Cowell has constantly said in interviews that he's looking for someone different and not who people might expect. Even today he has said "I think the next two announcements - particularly one - may surprise people, but they're coming soon." Now I put it to you, might it be that our Celine will be asked to be on the show? No-one would be expecting it to be her. I remember Simon and The X Factor being very impressed with the time and effort Celine put into the show when she appeared on the UK version in 2007 and we all know Simon respects her as an artist anyway. He wants someone who has built a career and kept it, someone who knows what it takes to be successful artist. Who better than the worlds best selling female artist? Now whilst Celine has said that her Vegas show schedule is built around school term time it's clear that she's free from basically August through to December, exactly the time that The X Factor would be filming. It's probably a long shot and Celine will want to spend her time with her new children but if Rene has managed to pull this off and get Celine onto this show then it will be an absolute masterstroke. Celine hasn't been mentioned. She hasn't been confirmed or denied. Others have been told they are absolutely not on the show, Celine hasn't. Does Celine have The X Factor? Celine is a living legend, and I dont think she should lower herself to Cowell's standards. On the other hand.. it could be an excellent idea that will increase her young fan base. It would be an amazing chance to re-establish her to a younger fanbase in the USA but like most of you have said it might also be considered below Celine to do something like this. However as an international female pop singer I think it's only right that her name is thrown into the hat with all the others being mentioned. I would love for her to do something like that, but Celine doesn't have it in her to be a judge, she's to nice and that's what i love about her. Celine is the most nice, kind, and caring person, who would never want to hurt anyone's feelings. Ellen Degenerous is the same way and that's why she couldn't handle being a judge on American Idol. The show is about finding a truly talented individual which will be aired on a major cable network and seen by millions, if not billions, around the world. Not to mention the show is about the music (like her show) and is not about ego. Yeah, that sounds like something that's "beneath her". Quote

Plus Céline wouldn't want to hurt anyone, I think they need someone that's more hardcore, you know that isn't as sweet and humble as Céline is. I can't see her being critical enough like Kara was, or Simon was, etc. Hell, she would probably be worse than Paula and Ellen were at critiquing. I just can't believe she hasn't even been mentioned for the role until now though. She's the world's best selling female artist and has truly built her career the hard way and worked so hard to get where she is today. She is respected throughout the industry and continues to sell albums in high numbers and of course has her Vegas show. She at least deserves to be considered and mentioned regardless if she actually wants to do it or not. She does make a lot of decisions! She acts as if she's not the one making decisions but she does way more than people think. Did you see the video of Céline telling Marc Dupré what he needs to change after he recorded the song she wrote for him? That could be an eye opener for many... Quote
