thanks a lot.. yes sometimes I do wonder.. what kind of agency Sony uses for the designs. Because the taking chances dvdcover is so minimal in its design..Well I will make some more in the nearby future when there will be more bootlegs with hopefully more songs we never heard live before!

Yes I do have the "Celine" plate, in a slighly lower quality, but I blew it up in Photoshop. however I am gonna make a vector one as well, so it can be used in every scale without loosing quality. A new skin would be a challenge.. but.. I need a template for that because otherwise I don;t know how to design it;-) And you are right; since this show is about classic and about glamour and about big band theme, I thought the red curtain and the dress all look perfect with the golden plate of Celine. The Celine plate is not a font though, so I have to either use high quality pics from the internet or I am gonna recreate it in Illustrator, so that is what I am gonna do now.

thanks a lot! you know , the form of the font is intertwining Celine in a sort of heart shaped form, where they cross each other, at least that is what I wanted to show :-)

for all those wanting to print these covers; I began making them up in 300dpi in photoshop, and afterwards I created JPEGs from them,

best way to print is using cdcover print software, which stretches and fits, or you have to stretch and fit in the software by hand,

I just tried in nero coverdesigner, which has to be done by hand but Easy Cover Print (shareware 9 days to use before registering) stretches automatically and it fits well. Can anyone in here show me a picture if the printing and fitting in the jewelcase went well?

Otherwise I will do something about it.

The pictures were taken at an angle but the covers came out perfect. They didn't get distorted. Although you could print them in nicer paper. I just printed them in normal paper to see how they would come out. I didn't use any special sofware to print them. I just pasted the pictures to a word document and fixed the size (4.75 in. by 4.75 in. for the front cover and 4.625" x 5.906" for the back cover.

Dank je wel, ik leer voor Grafisch Ontwerp, maar deze site is alweer een beetje te oud eigenlijk. Sinds ik op stage ben geweest vind ik bijna al het werk van daarvoor niet mooi meer:P Maar daarvoor leer je he;)

Geweldig man! Ik heb zelf een dtp opleiding gedaan maar had ook graag de grafische opleiding willen doen, nou een beetje te laat helaas.. wel jammer want ik weet dat ik het best in de vingers heb! Ik heb inmiddels in indesign de cover opnieuw gemaakt, compleet met bleeds, dus komt een dezer dagen online! hou mn topics in de gaten!
