Which is the most French song of Celine?

Hey folks, i question myself which is the most french song of Celine. I don't talk about a cliché song... not about instruments who sounds "french".... I want to know which french song incarnate france the most for you.

For me it is Zora Sourit..... It is kind of a real story behind. The song fits france i think. It is difficult to explain. Do you get what i want to say?

What do you think?

Nice choice, Jules!

If I had to pick something other than what you had picked, then Ma Nouvelle France

Oh well, that's more Québécoise than French

I agree with Zora sourit, and other choice is J´attendais or right now when I´m thinking of Céline´s french repertoaire also "Lettre de George Sand à Alfred de Musset" can be.

C'mon guys! It's the easiest question to answer!

À Paris :whistling:

Tournée Européenne in Paris (December 1, 2013)

Céline Dion Live 2016 in Antwerp (June 20, 2016)

Céline Dion Live 2017 in Birmingham (July 27, 2017)

Well, for me that would be Quand on N'A Que l'Amour. I think that song captures the french spirit.

Quand on n'a que l'amour

a s'offrir en partage

au jour du grand voyage

qu'est notre grand amour.

Quand on n'a que l'amour

mon amour toi et moi

pour qu'éclatent de joie

chaque heure et chaque jour.

I would say Ma Nouvelle-France since it reflets quite a bit of people's history (french people mostly).

Merci Céline pour ces deux soirées inoubliables que j'ai passées à tes côtés. Je ne les oublierais jamais.

J't'adore Céline.

Merci.

A Paris has always sounded the most stereotypical French sounding song to me.

At first I thought you meant favorite, b ut now I see this...not being French or knowing anything at all about them, one I will suggest is La Diva.

As for favorites...that's too hard and probably not what you are asking...good discussion...

L'immensite de mon amour pour Celine! L'amour existe encore pour elle! :)

I totally agree on Quand on n'a que l'amour and Ma nouvelle France. They're two of my favs as well. :)

Thanks for the great topic - really interesting & original! I also think that 'Quand on n'a que l'amour' is a very 'French' song. 'D'abord, c'est quoi l'amour' & 'Comme un coeur froid' sound quite French, too. Edited by Bell

Je Crois Toi is the most french song for me, I always feel like I'm on the streets of some city in France while I'm listening to it (I've actually been on french streets so I'm not just telling lol).

Welcome to the "Loved Me Back To Life" era!
