With that said, I am willing to "giveaway" a Borders Taking Chances promotional standee. It is about 5 feet in height, has multiple pockets for CDs to go into and is in the form of Celine on the cover of Taking Chances. The item is in fair/good condition. The only thing I ask is that you pay for shipping. Other than that, I am not looking for a profit of any kind from this item. I would prefer for whomever takes this item off my hands to have a FedEx or UPS account so I can just charge the shipping charges to that account. However, I am not stuck on this. I am flexible and willing to work with someone who would like to have this.

I do. I will need to do some homework first to find out how much it will cost to ship the item to Australia. Also, I should note again that the item is in fair condition. There is a phone number that has been written in pen at the bottom of the standee and some of the "wings" that help clip the CD holders into place are beat-up and have holes. (Some of this isn't visible when the holders are put into place, though.) Let me know if you're still interested and later this week I'll find out how much it would cost to have the item shipped to you.

 

Thanks for your interest! I'd much rather have this item go to a Celine fan rather than throw it in my complex's recycling dumpster.

Wow, that's such a great and generous offer!

I remember I wanted to get such standee for "Falling Into You" when the album was released, they had a lovely piece in my fave local music store where I lived back than and I asked multiple times at the store if I can have it but first they said no-no, they need it and than one day it was gone, probably they thrown it away when the promo for "FIY" was over and when they needed place for other items... I was soooo mad and since than, it wasn't my fave music store anymore, lol!

 

Such Taking Chances standee sounds great too but I'm afraid the overseas shipping would cost a big bunch already for such bulky item and than I probably couldn't find a place where to put it at our appartment...

 

But I'm sure you can make someone very happy with it!

My dream is to work in the artistic sector in Las Vegas. I would LOVE to work with a Cirque du Soleil or Dragone production. Of course working with Celine, Elton, Gladys or someone else would be a dream as well. So, my partner, Robert, and I are going to make the journey to Las Vegas in July to begin looking at housing so I can be one step closer to fulfilling my dream. It's moments like these that the song "All The Way" truly do sum up what I/we are about to embark upon: "Who knows where the road will lead us? Only a fool would say, but if you let me love you, it's for sure I'm gonna love you all the way, all the way."
