Celine on Oprah 2011

I think we can say goodbye to Then You Look At Me... It wasn't a big hit plus if they want to include her biggest hits, MJ songs and other artists' songs there will be no place for it

 

Apart from the MJ tribute, so far there is only 1 other song - Lullaby.

 

There is plenty of room for Celine songs that aren't hits. AND had plenty.

Nah, hope she won't indeed perform "Bad"!!! That would be a bad idea!

Although I'm afraid that this may be the very thing that is gonna happen - for the same purpose as she used "Staying Alive" or "We Will Rock You" during previous shows, to get the audience "rock" with her, lol... :/

 

Other than "Bad", my guess is rather for MJ's ballads. I'm almost sure "You Are Not Alone" will be included.

"Traffic is likely to screech to a halt this afternoon on the world-famous Strip, and this will be no ordinary tourist rush hour. Call it a battle of the beauties or a clash of the titans, as their paths cross for the next 48 hours. Photographers and reporters will race between Celine Dion’s touchdown at McCarran Airport and her arrival at Caesars Palace. Simultaneously, the 17 magnificent models from Sports Illustrated’s annual Swimsuit Edition shuttle to Diablo’s Cantina at the Monte Carlo for their first autograph and photo session.

 

Superstar Celine departed her Florida home this morning and landed in Chicago to tape a 1-hour TV show with Oprah Winfrey that airs Monday. Celine was set to meet what Oprah’s production execs describe as her most loyal fan. The Canadian songbird is then set mid-afternoon to jump a second private jet for the flight here. After landing, she immediately heads to Caesars. Her new show features 31 musicians in a full orchestra and separate band and debuts its 3-year run March 15.

 

Although Celine has been rehearsing songs at her Florida home, full onstage orchestra rehearsals start tomorrow, and she says she’ll stay at Caesars until the tribute show to the music and memories of Hollywood’s greatest love themes is up and running perfectly. Then she and her family will move back into their home at Lake Las Vegas.

 

More than 200 uniformed Caesars employees led by President Gary Selesner and AEG/Concerts West President John Meglen will greet Celine, manager-husband Rene Angelil and her sons Rene Charles and the new 4-month-old twins Eddy and Nelson at the hotel’s front fountains and porte cochere. The newborns will be baptized here March 5, and Celine’s sister Linda, Rene Charles and Rene’s sons Patrick and Jean-Pierre and daughter Ann-Marie from two previous marriages will be the godparents.

 

“Caesars Palace is thrilled to welcome Celine’s fans from all over the world,” Gary said in a statement. “I can’t overstate the excitement among our team members, guests and partners, all of whom consider Celine and her husband Rene special members of the Caesars Palace family.” The executives promise her new show will be a groundbreaking concert performance and the most spectacular yet of her shows complete with her biggest hits and stunning visual presentations."

i agree!

 

i understand why we're all stressed and nervous, but lets not worry or fret until opening night is done and we've seen live for ourselves what the show contains! heavens know theres still a very good chance songs will be cut/added between now and then. once band, dancers, celine, and everyone start actually rehearsing together tomorrow, then they'll see what truly works.

 

we all know the show is going to be spectacular no matter what...lets just remember that! in all honesty nothing is really set in stone 100 percent until the show opens and is performed opening night! (technically it will probably even be changed after that haha)

I'm sooo excited!! I can't wait till monday!! Someone told me on Twitter about the JAMES BOND songs... I hope she sings "Goldfinger" and "For your eyes only"... This is gonna be AWESOME!
