Timster Posted January 16, 2011 at 09:37 PM Posted January 16, 2011 at 09:37 PM Thanks to the Live à Paris video, we have known for 15 years what the main French setlist was throughout the D'eux tour. However, many people overlook the 7 concerts performed in the UK & Ireland, where the setlist was mostly English. Other European countries on this small tour may also have had this setlist. There is absolutely no information available on which songs she performed here, so I am asking if anyone on this forum knows any details. We can safely asssume the English songs performed in LAP were also featured in the UK. These are TPOL, RDMH, WDMHBN, Misled, LCMM, Calling You. Then, we have to look at her hits. Another fan who actually attended one of these concerts told me that IYAMT, OOR and BATB were performed, but that is all he could remember. This makes sense, as these 3 songs were all permed in the TCOML tour, and the following FIY tour. Think Twice was still huge in the UK in 1995, so that would definitely be there too. (We musn't forget that Celine toured the UK at the end of the TCOML tour in May 1995, before returning in October 1995 with the D'eux tour. For this reason, I don't think there would be too much change from the TCOML setlist, as the only material they could add to the show were D'eux songs.) This brings us on to the French numbers. Seeing as this was the D'eux tour, I think PQTME, JIOTI, JSP would have been performed. Le ballet was featured throughout the FIY tour, including the English shows, so there's no reason why that wouldn't be in UK D'eux concerts. This gives me 14 songs that were almost certainly performed: The Power Of LoveRiver Deep, Mountain HighWhere Does My Heart Beat NowMisledLove Can Move MountainsCalling You J’irai où tu irasJe sais pasLe balletPour que tu m’aimes encoreIf You Asked Me ToOnly One RoadBeauty And The BeastThink Twice Can anyone add to this?? Thank you!!! Quote

I thought about WIFIL and TCOML may have been performed as well. Not sure about Natural Woman though, it wasn't in the TCOML tour... Quote
Davey84 Posted January 16, 2011 at 09:57 PM Posted January 16, 2011 at 09:57 PM (edited) Oh yeah, CY is also on Céline A L'Olympia... but I don't know for certain it was also part of the English concerts... :hmmm: No, but Tapestry Revisited was released in 1995, so maybe she got the hang of NW and put it in the setlist! It is possible though, that there were more D'Eux songs, like Destin and PP, cos D'Eux was a big seller also in the UK! I guess it's possible, but seeing as FIY was not released until the following year, I think it's unlikely it was performed before the FIY tour... And you're right, there were definitely more D'eux songs in the show - I only listed the songs above that would definitely have been there. But I think any of these could have been performed in the UK: Destin, Regarde-moi, Les derniers seront les premiers, Prière païenne. Quote
celine4evauk Posted January 16, 2011 at 10:34 PM Posted January 16, 2011 at 10:34 PM I heard that many songs from D'eux was performed - as well as songs from TCOML.These were the ones:J'attendaisRegarde MoiPQTMEJSPLes DernierJ'iraiPriere PaienneDestinLe Ballet And also:ZiggyLBDB That's all i know. Tyler1991 Posted January 16, 2011 at 11:50 PM Posted January 16, 2011 at 11:50 PM Natural Woman was performed during the CD tour, Tim. It was likely closer to Aretha's version than Celine, so perhaps another G5? lol Quote

RDMH wasn't on her album untill 1996 either, but it was already performed live Same for IIC and WAWW Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th

Wow thank you. So that's the same D'eux songs as LAP, except Vole. So with Ziggy and LBDB that makes 11 songs, which means if we add the 10 English songs I posted earlier which would almost definitely be there, it makes a setlist of 21 songs. (The French setlist was 20 songs). So if this is correct, then maybe there weren't as many English songs (other than the essential hits) Natural Woman was performed during the CD tour, Tim. It was likely closer to Aretha's version than Celine, so perhaps another G5? lol I forgot it was performed during the CD tour, so NW is a possibility. But after seeing the information above, it seems only the main English hits from the TCOML tour were included. Quote

I could add more D'eux songs to the above, but I think that 15 years of Live A Paris could have clouded my memory even more. I am currently transferring my TV video collections to DVD, but I don't expect to find anything too revolutionary there. I think Davey just meant he had always assumed the flyer was TCOML tour, but now he realises from the dates that it was indeed D'eux. Tyler, this photo was from the TCOML tour (possibly from Olympia as this was the Korean CD cover). They don't have to use a D'eux tour picture to promote the D'eux tour! The new Vegas flyer has a TCWT photo, and if you look at her tour programmes from the 90s, you will find that most contain concert photos from the previous tour (as there are obviously no new photos at the time it was printed!).
