Idea for the show

After watching Through the Eyes of the World and hearing about how the show is a lot about the music, I can't help but think what a good idea it would be to have musical intros like they did in the documentary. For example, before they started playing TLYM in the movie, they just played the instrumental and it was so beautiful. Sometimes you lose yourself in the voice and the repetition of a song, so I think it would be great if for example they did play during costume changes (now that they don't have dancers) the instrumentals of her hits and then she comes into the song mid way through and powers right through it.

 

During the movie, they also did this with BYLM and MSG...I don't know why but you hear so much more power when it's done this way. I think it would be such a good idea if they used instrumentals as part of costume changes. Another advantage is when you start out with the instrumental, it makes you appreciate both the vocals and instruments so much more when combined

That would be okay. Mariah did something like that on her last tour with Make It Happen. She came in during the powerful bridge notes.

 

Then there will be complaints that the full song wasn't performed and blah blah blah....

 

I understand that....it is kind of an excuse to not perform the whole song.
