They're great together! Rosie O'Donnell Show - Fall 2011 O'Donnell is undoubtedly gunning for the Queen of Daytime's throne, but experts think it's too soon to tell if she'll be an appropriate heir. "Right now, most stations are looking at other, proven shows that are already on the air as a replacement for Oprah," said Bill Carroll, vice president of programming for Katz Television Group. "Either that, or local news. But things can change in 18 months." Carroll listed "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" as the current top contender for Winfrey's time slot, followed by "The Dr. Oz Show," "Dr. Phil" and "Judge Judy." O'Donnell acknowledged Winfrey's departure in a statement released Tuesday. "Come fall 2011, daytime television will change in a very dramatic way," said O'Donnell. "I want to build on what Oprah began and excelled at for 25 years, in my own style and with new adaptations and ideas. I would like this show to make a difference in viewer's lives, to be real, uplifting, authentic and focus on life, love and laughter." O'Donnell's new show will focus on a single subject, with in-studio guests and occasional pre-taped packages, according to the press release. It will be filmed in front of a live studio audience five days a week in Manhattan. This will be exciting. She is a great talk show host in my eyes. CHEERS! (Sorry if is repeat.) But O also had her celebrity guest stars so I bet once ratings aren't so good they'll start putting celebrities. I hope for there to be some appearances they were so funny together! Now it's all about PERSONAL in-depth interviews with celebrities and guests (the exact opposite of what she wanted to do originally). In case you haven't seen Rosie's new format, she gets incredibly in-depth in her new interviews! She made Chelsea cry.
