I mean they put lots of effort into the "Taking Chances" video but it wasn't played anywhere so the "Alone" video was just lifted from the TV special to save them making a new one. It's a harsh sign of the times that tv (and to an extent radio) just will not play Celine material, regardless of its quality. I mean, Rihanna is what they like now.. Celine is not hot anymore. ( Or she should consider a rap career haha But when you look at the song Rihanna did with Eminem.. why could Celine not try something like that? Not that I think she really should because I rather her do a great uptempo song or a powerballad.. but to stay popular sometimes these moves are the best thing to do;-)But about the channels; in the 90's musicvideos were very popular and because of a nice video a song could get high in the charts.I remember that I bought cdsingles because I liked the videoclip as well.bUt now we have internet we can download everything easily and we can watch the videos on youtube instead of MTV.
