Looks like there is another Divas show this year..

 

Katy Perry, Keri Hilson, Nicki Minaj and more to perform. Kathy Griffin will host.

I'm only excited for Nicki Minaj and Sugarland. Otherwise I wouldn't be watching

 

Airs on Vh1 on December 5 @ 9/8c!

I felt her AMA performance would make her realize she can't sing and should stop doing records. The audience gave a pitiful applause too! I would have started to BOO if I was there

I wish they will re-do a Chicken-fight-type of performance like the one was made in 1998 at the end of the show on the "Testimony" song. Celine Dion was "chickening" it VS Aretha Franklin. If this year there will be a catfight: I'M THE NUMBER ONE VIEWER!!!LOL

I watched last year's Divas just for Leona Lewis. I really like her.

Now... I don't even know who are those singers listed for this year's show (the rock our buddy Griffon has been living under has room for two people lol)

With real Divas like Annie Lennox, Toni Braxton, Alicia Keys, Sheryl Crow, Roberta Flack, Dionne Warwick, Vanessa Williams, Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Trisha Yearwood, Lara Fabian, Tina Arena, Natalie Cole, Barbra Streisand and more still to appear on VH1 Divas as headliners, I can't help to ask myself why would they want to ruin such a beloved franchise.

 

Last year's concert should have been named VH1 Divas In Training and this year's one is VH1 Mediocrity Live.

I'm sorry, but you are reacting in that way just cos Sugarland's performing. It doesn't add to the value of the concert, which is called "DIVAS LIVE" and DIVAS they are NOT and neither are any of the ones performing along with them! So please, before saying that it is meant to honour the troops or whoever, think about the franchise they are participating in. Don't you think they should have been placed in a proper concert and not put in somewhere where they are not even eligible to be just trudged in? Nothing against Sugarland, cos I kinda like a few of their songs as well. But speaking of the organizers, if they were just going to honour the troops or if it was for some benefit thing, then this should have been aptly named, and the franchise of the DIVAS not diluted, or here for the matter, insulted and put down. And this isn't a personal attack against you, so I hope you don't take it that way.

 

I think most of the members here are dejected and are complaining just cos of what this franchise has turned out into.

Actually no it wasn't because of Sugarland, I don't consider them "Diva's" because both of them aren't women, nor have they been around as long as some of the established singers that have been on past shows. I think it's a great thing that they are doing this show. Just because its Diva's Live doesn't mean it won't be a good concert. It doesn't matter to me what name the concert has, its the reason they are doing it.

VH1 stated that 'VH1 Divas Live' is about bringing the best female voices together for this special. And to me, VH1 hasn't backed that statement up for a long time. THAT'S why were getting upset you see. As a Celine Dion Forum, we know what real music is and to me, it's an embarrassment to us and Celine for people like Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus to be @ a special where Celine, Mariah and Aretha all stood.

 

Is the reason for the show good? Yes, of course. But DJ said it right it shouldn't be called Divas Live. Having said that, I will give Jennifer Nettles (Sugarland) more credit because she has pipes. I feel bad she's with the other losers. Again, just my opinion.
