In an unofficial list published at VE, Celine Dion features once in a list that counts down those albums in the UK that have sold over 200,000 copies in one particular week, with Lets Talk About Love

I doubt Titanic had anything to do with those sales. The film wasn't released in the UK until January 1998. Promo for the track didn't really kick in till then, but during late December both The Reason and Tell Him were still in top 20.

Right, and people forget LTAL was the most pre-ordered album of 1997, with just under 11 million orders before it was even released. Absolutely insane....

Being released in the holiday season definitely helped her case. Titanic turned her into a legend, she was already a pop superstar prior to this

The Official Charts released the 30 best selling cds in the UK, in honour of 30 years of compact disc.

Céline isn't in the list, so I was wondering what are her album sales in the UK?

I think it's weird that an album that stayed in the album charts for 109 weeks (TCOML) and 113 weeks (FIY) didn't sell more than 2,2 million copies.

Celine's best-selling studio album in the UK is Falling Into You which has sold just short of 2.2m copies.

 

Factor in the club sales of the album [which for the big 90's albums, could be anywhere between 4-8% of total album sales]. I estimate that the total album shipments/sales for Falling Into You in the UK were between 2.25-2.3m. [those albums in the list above, are only over the counter sales and do not include club sales]

 

Lets Talk About Love and The Colour of My Love have both sold around 2-2.05m in the UK including club sales.
