Here's a NEW fantastic interview from Céline that was recorded via téléphone while she was pregnant. It's only in French, but it's rather inspiring. Francophones, take a listen.

She talks about her mother being the woman that has inspired her the most, how éducation changed women, the benifits of hard work, what makes her angy, what it is to be a modern woman, beauty---and many other subjects. etc.

 

This interview will show just how intelligent and wonderful Céline really is.

Beauty can be a lot of things… according to me beauty can be a sort of kindness, it can be read in someone’s eyes, on someone’s face, that’s for sure. According to me it’s also a child’s look. There is no mischief. There’s no war in that. When a child is playing, is happy, and says “I love you mom”, can it be more beautiful than that? It can’t be!

I completely agree. People usually dismiss her knowledge and aptitude because most hear her speak English only, but her vocabulary is much more diverse in French (obviously). It shows in the songs she writes, a la Entre Deux Mondes.
