That $850m figure of her perfume sales isn't new. It came out earlier this summer when she was getting ready to release her newest fragrance, which came out this fall. Also, Celine is not worth $2bn. The newspaper just added up what her products (record sales, tours, etc) have made. That doesn't equate to what she is personally worth. As an estimation, I would say Celine is worth $500-600 million. On a side note, the Forbes Magazine figure that came out in 2007, grossly underestimated her net worth, by nearly $150-175m.

 

Is anyone including Rene's worth. He has gotten 2/3rds of everything she has earned and as a couple thy are entitled to each other income.

Celine has and will always give us all a lot of pleasure every minute,hour and every day inside our homes and far away, to her beauty, her music, her voice,her care for her family, friends and fans, she makes us laugh,cry and love and she worth every penny how ever much she earns.

Hope this does not sound over the top but this is how I do feel about Celine as a fan for many years shes the awsome and the best.

Vacature, a part of a Belgian newspaper did soms calculations about the money that Céline earned through the years.

 

Nothing special, expect that the amount of her perfumes was released...

 

 

It seems that the perfume line is a real cashcow, since the start of the line back in 1997 Céline has earned 850.000.000 USD through the sales of perfumes...

 

Overview published:

 

Las Vegas 1: 400.000.000 USD

Concerts (except Las Vegas): 522.000.000 USD

Albums: 225.000.000 USD

Perfumes: 850.000.000 USD

 

Total near 2 billion USD...

 

I wonder if those figures are correct, in general Vacature is a very respected media regarding jobs, money, etc...

 

Considering her perfumes werent launched until 2002/3 I doubt the source. Checking coty's website and other news sources state her perfumes have made 5-600 million, most articles are 2-3 years old though. Irrespective of what the perfumes have raked in she doesnt make that money, she has only endorsed them and lent her name. So I doubt she earns more than 10-15% of the profits.

 

Also looking at this LA times article it states she has earned almost 750 million in the past decade alone (thats 522 million from vegas and the tc tour and 225 from album sales):

However, all these numbers are quite puzzling as that would mean she has earned an average of 600 000 per concert in the past decade. Considering ticket prices have gone up during the past 10 years I wouldve thought she made more. It might be that the figures dont include the money she got from Caesars and AEG at the start of the contract.

Why would he earn 2/3 of what she earns? He is her manager not her pimp. Also I would assume that they have a prenup and probably postnup to divide their assets, even though when they are married they might share the income.

Also, Celine personally earns (and has done since 1998ish) around 20-30% of her album gross - its the highest of any non-songwriter in the business. I've read that she takes around 45% of her concert grosses + a high cut of merchandising and other associated expenses. From the Taking Chances tour, she will have pocketed at least $150m personally. From Vegas, she is estimated to have personally netted a "steady" income of between $150-$250m over four years.

 

Rene doesn't get two thirds of her gross - that's rubbish. Rene gets a small cut of Celine's gross, mainly because he has negotiated for her to get such a high percentage. And as somebody as already stated, they share everything anyway. But if Celine was to divorce her husband, she'd walk away with the majority of her estate.

I can't do anything more than agree. Every dollar is welll deserved, for giving us so much back, of her life, music, talent, heart.
