Javito Posted October 7, 2010 at 02:13 PM Posted October 7, 2010 at 02:13 PM (edited) Please take a look at this young kid, his name is Abraham Mateo and he is only 12. He's attracting all the attention here in Spain because of his amazing voice and the strong stage presence he has despite his young age. He has already recorded an album (released in december) and now he has covered Céline's I Surrender, his first english recording You will know that very few kids have this voice at that early age, very very few, and this one is extremely talented! Check these: I Surrender (in the studio) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AM4oGVBJJZ4 Without You with Caroline Costa, another french prodigy singer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7WafXzNxSI And this is the solo version, even more impressive (he sings in english at the end). He got all the audience to stand up at the end of the song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3zzpgODi9I Vuelve Conmigo (the first single from his album) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1LjGIgsfVM Hope you like it It reminds me all the time of Céline, when she began singing at the same age, but this is like the male version of her Edited October 7, 2010 at 02:32 PM by Javito Quote "Hush, now... celinefanonline Posted October 7, 2010 at 02:36 PM Posted October 7, 2010 at 02:36 PM (edited) oh my s***................. he can really sing!!!!!!!!!!it is the first time i hear someone sing I surrender this good and it's male..... (especially a boy) and the high note part is probably the same key as Celine's.....only thing is that his English is not that good other wise it would be perfect !! However, a boy like this rarely comes up, and the voice of this kid is just incredible. He could sing whatever he wants to sing Have you checked the video of Without You (Mariah Carey's song)? The duet with that girl is impressive but his solo version... have no words to describe it He is only 12 but he sings with the maturity and professionalism of an adult . Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
dj4celine Posted October 7, 2010 at 02:49 PM Posted October 7, 2010 at 02:49 PM Funny I was checking his videos out last night He's good, very good IMO. Just a few more years of training and he'll be one of the young male power singers. Quote
Timster Posted October 7, 2010 at 03:33 PM Posted October 7, 2010 at 03:33 PM I can still sing that even though my voice has (allegedly) broken Quote

That boy has awesome voice He is really talented!!^^ I absolutly aggre with you when you say that almost nobody can sing 'I surrender' so good (especially a boy) SPOILER! --Click here to view-- | --Cliquez ici pour voir--Actually when i saw this topic .. it reminds me for one performance of this song.. I'm talking about one very talented Bulgarian girl, who participate in Bulgaria's Got Talent! ( and she won it).. So she performed 'I surrender' and back this momentthen and each person from the audience was crying!! It was very emotional moment .. Don't know if you watched it but here is the video I surrender by Bogdana Petrova Edited October 7, 2010 at 03:54 PM by pollsy Quote http://prikachi.com/images/153/5347153U.jpg

celinefanonline Posted October 8, 2010 at 02:33 AM Posted October 8, 2010 at 02:33 AM (edited) now that i think of this boy... in few years like 1 or 2 his voice gonna change.... which would be sad though cause we won't be able to hear the same voice again loland don't think he would be able to sing this high though... btw Bogdana Petrova's i surrender is not bad too but this boy is the only one that i'm kind of shock to see his performance!! Krys Posted October 8, 2010 at 01:44 PM Posted October 8, 2010 at 01:44 PM wow. his voice is very good. but yeh like someone said above, his voice will break. hopefully he will still be able to sing those high notes though Quote
luciusbright Posted October 8, 2010 at 04:59 PM Posted October 8, 2010 at 04:59 PM I cannot believe it!!He is amazing, and I never saw people could deliver "I Surrender" like him, this is just perfect!!!1 Quote S'il suffisait d'aimer...
Celine Fan 77 Posted October 8, 2010 at 05:00 PM Posted October 8, 2010 at 05:00 PM It would be perfect if he found someone like René, I mean, he just has to do the same thing Celine did when she was at his age. Eventough the music industry has changed tremendously, he would be incredibly succesfull, at least, here in Spain. But I've got the feeling that it's not gonna happen... Real talent rarely comes out, and when it comes out, it's very hard to become famous... RLAAMJR. Posted October 9, 2010 at 05:31 AM Posted October 9, 2010 at 05:31 AM Though not better than Charice Pempengco who could really hit high notes with precision and accuracy , but Abraham can sing well too. Quote
Simon Posted January 14, 2011 at 12:16 PM Posted January 14, 2011 at 12:16 PM Amazing cover of "I Surrender"! Thanks for sharing! Quote You could see? I could break! Javito Posted January 14, 2011 at 12:30 PM Author Posted January 14, 2011 at 12:30 PM (edited) Though not better than Charice Pempengco who could really hit high notes with precision and accuracy , but Abraham can sing well too. Charice Pempengco is a girl, and Abraham is a boy, which is very different. Vocal chords are not the same Is much easier for a girl to hit those high notes than for a boy. Also, Charice Pempengco is 18 years old now, but Abraham is only 12 (11 when she recorded Céline's song). Seems you missed that detail. It's VERY different. I really see the difference with this boy and he has nothing to envy of Charice. Absolutely nothing . Amazing cover of "I Surrender"! Thanks for sharing! your're welcome! celinefanonline Posted January 14, 2011 at 01:42 PM Posted January 14, 2011 at 01:42 PM sure give u a break and don't watch it loland RLAAMJR plz don't keep on saying about Charice... (nothing against her)if u really wanna compare then compare to the singers around his age like u can compare him to the young Billy Gilman when he first came out Quote Courage don't you dare fail me now!
Javito Posted January 14, 2011 at 01:44 PM Author Posted January 14, 2011 at 01:44 PM just another kid who came out of a gameshow... give me a break! Abraham never came from any gameshow nor talent show or TV show of any kind. He was already popular in his hometown for singing in local events and contests. Then it was the local TV shows from Andalucia and then the national TV channels who came to find him, not viceversa.
