Celine Dion Essential Mixes

Sony Music Entertainment has a new collection series called "Essential Mixes". The CDs include all the best remixes from an artist.

 

The first CDs of the series will be out this month.

 

On their Facebook page I asked if there will be a Celine Dion Essential Mixes collection. And they answered: "Hey Renato, that's on the list, she has got some top remixes done so I don't see why not :)". Me: "Thank you for your reply. Does it mean it will be released anytime soon?". They answered: "Well hopefully in the New Year".

 

It looks like they're planning to release a Celine Dion Essential Mixes next year.

Well, the Jason Nevins remix of "Taking Chances" is cool and practically unreleased.

 

I wish they put the Tracy Young remix of "All By Myself" and the Laurent Wolf remix of "I'm Alive".

she doesn't have many remixes and not all of the are good. Other artists have much more of them and in Celine's case they just make songs faster and without much effort but I love MHWGO and TLYM remix! They're the best for me... but to be honest I'd rather have a completely new album with a proper promotion than another cd with old tracks even though they will include remixes but we all know them by now and Celine won't record anything new for it

I am both somewhat thrilled and terrified.

 

I know I am dreaming too much when I hope for the WillIam remix of EOM.

 

Oh oh oh! Faith Original 3 Radio Remix! That would be too good I guess...

 

 

 

There are some nice remixes from her 90ies out there. But there's not a bunch of BANG mixes to fill an album.

 

 

What I don't get is why there's no remix of TPOL. Found some, but then there's not Céline's vocals.

 

 

 

It would be best to release it as soon as possible. For it's always weird to release compilations of any sort anywhere near another release (either that new album gets over- or underrepresented on the compilation).

 

 

 

And I wouldn't say no to a remix of Reveal or I Surrender. But I guess they won't make new ones.

I wouldn't be surprised if there are many many many mixes that never saw the light of day! But I guess that's for a reason

Just spoke to my contact at Sony Music UK, and I don't no whether we should do this or not, as last time we did a poll about what songs we would like on the My Love album, certain people were negative about it, but my contact has said that if we could do another poll that would be great and obviously like last time it will be discussed by the people who make the final decision...

 

So Ronny as you got the info. in the first place and own the topic, do you want to start the poll or?!?

I just don't want to step on any toes

I think the best Celine remix to date is still TTWII Metro Mix... unlike her other remixes wherein you just miss the original version or cant help but associate it with the original version, the TTWII metro mix is a separate song on its own.. i could love the song even if i didn't hear the original version... I think that's what makes a good remix...

Hey ya'll, see I am no remix expert so I think it would be really nice if someone could make a list of all her REAL remixes so could take a look at them on youtube and such, before deciding which are the best.
