Well, i've also done a research and the two singles, My Heart Will Go On and Think Twice have sold lot as singles Nobody knew it for sure. As I said earlier, the OCC (the UK chart agency) recently revised hundreds of #1 singles, and Celine was one of them. They downgraded her sales to 930,000, but obviously moved them back up to 1.2m, thankfully Quote Céline Dion, music's greatest ever singer, the biggest-selling Canadian artist of all-time and most successful female live act ever - what's not to love?
RLAAMJR. Posted September 8, 2010 at 02:32 AM Posted September 8, 2010 at 02:32 AM (edited) I was still sure those two singles would make it. Based on my research which i hardly remember is that both singles reached more than a million and are included in the UK's top-selling singles of all time. And to think that they're gonna list down the top 50, i was sure the two are gonna be in it. Edited September 8, 2010 at 02:33 AM by RLAAMJR. Quote
wjd Posted September 8, 2010 at 03:17 PM Author Posted September 8, 2010 at 03:17 PM Yes, everybody's "research" was futile though - pointless - because back in 1994, sales weren't tracked as closey, they were estimated, and so the #1's, especially between 94-95, could've been wrong. The OCC were trialling a new estimator, which proved to be very unaccurate. Anyway, they estimated Celine to have sold 1.21m copies of Think Twice back then, but it emerged last year, that this was probably wrong, and that it had actually sold 930,000 copies. Thankfully, they've chosen to remain at the 1.2m+ figure, but trust me, at the next re-evaluation, it might be credited with less than 1m again Quote Céline Dion, music's greatest ever singer, the biggest-selling Canadian artist of all-time and most successful female live act ever - what's not to love?
RLAAMJR. Posted September 9, 2010 at 03:19 AM Posted September 9, 2010 at 03:19 AM ok. I get your point. didn't research that part when they've made a reevaluation. Quote
