I was playing badminton when the chinese channel was on and I heard something familiar.. so I went to the TV and found Joey Yung singing a chinese version of S'il Suffisait D'aimer! I was searching all her songs on youtube because I can't read chinese until I realized I could just type in "Joey Yung - S'il Suffisait D'aimer" and it worked! I think she sounds pretty good :) An interesting.. orchestra/band

She is a pop singer from Hong Kong (I'm from Hong Kong too). Her singing is no way near to Celine's!

Also the lyrics of that version is sooooo crappy!

If you took a look at the lyrics, you would hate this version as much as I do... -_- Edited by btjohn

Here is my translation of the un-understandable lyrics:

An obsession needs to be deep and a suitable atmosphere is needed.

Memories have to be realistic and moving.

It's time to lock you, your voice, your facial expression and your smell in my heart forever.

Crying is not necessary, all you need is a blues.

The rose will tell me all your wishes.

How I want to experience this story once more!

It's time to be locked in this space.

I live the same way and treasure the same thing as you do.

Staggered in time and place, my heart is filled with different feelings.

It seems that I felt warmer holding you in my arms.

I cherished you only after you had left.

The sun is so bright today, I miss you so much.

If you really need to leave, teach me to walk alone.

You cared for me every day and I wish to do the same for you in my next life.

I want to record the implications of your eyes.

It's time, maybe you'll understand it even if I don't speak at all.

I live the same way and treasure the same thing as you do.

Staggered in time and place, my heart is filled with different feelings.

It seems that I felt warmer holding you in my arms.

I cherished you only after you had left.

The sun is so bright today, I miss you so much

My favorites are the same as you, including the Blue-grey car.

How I feel driving since the dusk? I miss you even more.

The tree grew old, I grew old, but my love for you never grows old.

I couldn't find you again in this city, what a pity it is!

In my opinion, this version seriously lack the deep sense (which makes SSD outshine other Celine's songs) of SSD. I don't really catch the sense of this song even if Chinese is my first language.

I'm from Hong Kong... But I hate the chinese version! It sucks, especially the lyrics!

I think it's great that she covered a French song, but they changed the lyrics drastically, it's more than lost in translation, I think they just used the melody to put words about love treasure bla bla bla, but definetly nice try!

I agree with Koolan. I don't really like it. It's not nearly as good as Céline's. No, don't like it.

Merci Céline pour ces deux soirées inoubliables que j'ai passées à tes côtés. Je ne les oublierais jamais.

J't'adore Céline.

Merci.
