This August 25 in Montreal, VRAK-TV, a Quebec youth television channel, is organizing the KARV ceremony anti-gala 2010. Celine is nominated in the category 'Personality Of The Year'. Will she add this prize to her collection? We'll find out August 25!

I think the fact that she has even been nominated by a youth channel is quite an achievement for her considering the only things she has publicly done this year is release the movie and get pregnant. If she actually wins then it will be great but it doesn't say much about the 2010 exploits of the other nominees. Fingers crossed though.

I also find it kind of weird considering she hasn't done anything this year. What I'm thinking is that they nominated her because of the whole she stayed strong throughout her whole struggle to get pregnant and what not.

Well I wouldn't have thought the viewers of a youth channel would have much interest in wether Celine has had difficulty in her pregnancies. But either way it's great to see she is still relevant to a large young audience, even considering it's a biased one in her native land.

I've been thinking: it is not entirely true that she hasn't done anything. I mean the tour DVD's did brilliantly in Canada. She took part in the new version of ''We are the World'' and she also donated a lot of money for that cause (not to mention the other charity stuff she does).

 

Edit: I almost forgot: She also did the MJ tribute at the Grammys.

Oh sure she is. Give her enough money and she will appear there. She may even consider lipping. Singing live costs extra (FACT from the producers of French shows in France - Reney demands disastrously high fees for Céline to sing live.)

I know MANY young people in Canada who LOVE Céline!!! You can't make a statement like "Young people here hate Céline" unless you did a poll...

That's true! I really hadn't thought of that! If she wins, we might see her! But, it's really too bad that we can't vote because living in Québec and dealing with people who always watch Vrack TV all the time, the chances that she wins are I would say, pretty close to zero. I mean, they don't care about her or anything. Seeing the other people on the list too, just crushes all of her chances. I really want her to win so much! She has to! She's got the best personnality in all of those! The competition is tuff, the other people are good people that everyone likes and all but still, Céline has to win. She hasn't won any prize of some sort in a real long time, plus coming from young people, it would be even better. The others win stuff all the time these days. It's Céline's turn!

^^^The best response, IMO. I don't see how a younger demographic would want to vote for Celine. If she had released a French-language album this past year, then maybe they would vote for her. Otherwise, I don't see it happening. That said, I find it incredible, nonetheless that she's still revered in Canada. I traveled to Montreal during the same week her two dvds were coming out, and there were billboard of her all over the place. She was on the radio (especially Rythem FM), and on television. They treat her as a queen, and deservedly so.

OMG. I really hope Celine wins so we can see her. Imagine Celine going up on stage with a big belly!!
