Disney parks raising ticket prices

(CNN) -- It's going to cost vacationers more to visit with Mickey Mouse starting Thursday, when Disney parks in California and Florida will raise ticket prices.

 

Disney posted an announcement about the price hikes Tuesday on its Disney Parks blog.

 

At Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, the base price for one-day, one-park passes will rise from $79 to $82 for ages 10 and up. Tickets for children ages 3 to 9 will go from $68 to $74. The additional fee for park-hopper tickets will jump by $2 for one-day access, to $54.

 

One-day, one-park tickets to Southern California's Disneyland Resort will rise from $72 to $76 for ages 10 and up and from $62 to $68 for ages 3 to 9. Prices for one-day park-hopper tickets will go up by $4 for both age groups.

 

Increases will also apply to multi-day passes at both parks.

 

Prices for annual passes will rise by $10 to $18 at Disney World and by $20 for premium annual passes at Disneyland.

 

Prices for tickets and passes already purchased will not be affected.

 

Disney's blog provides links to information about the new pricing, going into effect August 5.

My lord. Disney is an awesome place to go, but really it's kinda expensive for what you get. My mom and i went there last summer and it cost almost four grand. Idk how. I mean we did stay at the Grand Floridian (supposedly nicest hotel at Disney..i wish i would've been there when celine recorded there for the disney christmas special lol), but seriously. We probably could have taken a nice trip to Europe for the same cost as all the Disney expenses lol.

Disney land will keep raising prices, until people stop going and they're in danger of closing!

 

 

Yeah right! That place is jam packed 24/7, 365 days a year! No matter the prices! I think people just go there to be reminded of their childhood fantasies and all the trademark characters! Just to get a wave from a Mexican Snow White on a float is enough to make my vacation complete

How rediculous, if Disney is having financial problems they really just f*cked up somewhere, because you know they made SOOO MUCHHH MONEYYY with the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Hillary Duff, Shia Lebouf, etc. It's insane, they are raising prices because they want to squeeze every last dollar out of you, and thats really corrupt and sad, and really just disgusts me, I will never ever in my life go to a Disney park because this just shows how corrput they really are.

It really does suck that their prices are going up. I mean, a pass to both Disneyland and California Adventure for a day is almost $100 as it is, right?

But Disneyland is seriously one of my most favorite places in the world. I have so many wonderful and magical memories from there . . . I would keep going back no matter what the ticket price.

I took this picture when my family was there last December . . . It's so magical, I can't even stand it!

^ dear god, its already almost $100? its CRAZY! O.o i think my two-day park hopper ticket was $69 back in 2003. THAT was expensive. now its just nuts
