Céline and the Charities

Hello there,

 

 

We all know that Céline and René give a lot to charities: Cystic fibrosis foundation, Hopital Sainte Justine, Fondation Maman Dion, help for Africa, plus the Céline foundation.

 

I found out today that they were helping a lot to fight against AIDS. I by the way remember them wearing the famous red ruban a lot during the 90's.

 

I had a mail today, a google alert: one article on the web is about my favorite singer! So, I went to check the said-so article. It talks about how Céline and René went through in vitro and got pregnant with twins. Nothing really new. But at the end of the article, the guy wrote:

Enfin, je tiens personnellement à remercier Céline Dion et René Angelil pour leur aide précieuse depuis toutes ces dernières années dans la publication de matériel de prévention SIDA ici même dans ce magazine. Sans leur aide directe, nous ne pourrions publier autant de dossiers santé, merci du fond du coeur…

Without their direct help, we couldn't publish so many files about health. Thank you from the bottom of my heart...

 

They must be giving to a lot of charities that we don't even imagine they do.

That's why she's so beautiful, inside and out! Both of them are so generous, and most of all, don't go bragging about it to the media. They support the charities that mean the most to them, and set a wonderful example for others. Each thing they do makes me love them more!

That just shows, even though they are Celebrities with a heck of allot of money. They still give there money, to help people less fortunate then them. I just fell in love, with them more.

i remember that it was said in the 90s that a certain percentage of her yearly income is given away to charity... I dunno if it's still the same today!

The only time I heard she gave money to charity was $1 million to hurricane Katrina and for I think $ to charities in LV. I'm sure a lot of celebriies give $ without anyone knowing it.

That's exactly why I love them, even if they are celebrities and have success they don't forget where they come from. She really does have a heart of gold. They don't forget about the ones who are less fortunate. Hope they don't stop. There should really be more people like them. :web:
