Music a question about Celine's Award-winning, record-breaking signature hit "My Heart Will Go On" this week on Wednesday and he responded and gave some great facts! We know that in the U.S. "My Heart Will Go On" has been certified gold for physical CD single sales of over 500,000 copies! With the big change in single sales since 2005, most singles are now sold digitally. For awhile now, I have seen a lot of artist's biggest hits from the past certified for digital sales. I have been wondering what Celine's biggest hits have sold to date and the sales for "My Heart Will Go On" for a long time. Well, I got my answer! (FYI, that's a combination of five different tracks or versions of the song, which have sold between 7K and 539K.) This is incredible news! 821,000 digital copies sold to date! I'm so happy that Celine's biggest hit is still going on and on! It looks like Sony needs to certify the song now for more than 500,000 copies sold digitally and certify it Gold!! With regards to the USA, the song sold around 690,000 physical copies (it had an extremely limited release, so that copies of the soundtrack would sell). So total US sales are over 1.5m copies! In the UK, the song has sold around 100,000 digital copies too over the last half decade (its latest total sales figure there is 1,414,125) - that is one of the higher figures for 90's music that I've seen!
