Well we know that is IS actually gibberish because the guy who sang the intro on the song said so. So the best we could ever do is pick out the words we can hear from whatever gibberish he sang, so unless he sang it in some weird made up language there are going to be familar words among it.

How did you find out that it was gibberish, was it an interview or something else?

I found out by asking him.

If you think about it, it's so random that they chose to put gibberish at the start of this song, especially when the words are English and it's a French song :huh:

I'm guessing David Gategno just said it's gibberish to create a scenario that's actually happening right now.. he wants to leave everyone guessing... I could just see him going over this thread and just rolling on the floor laughing... lol!

 

But maybe the line actually made sense and was not gibberish... he just doesn't want to tell us hahaha.... well at least for now... maybe when we've all exhausted our guesses on this thread, he'll probably squeal the answer... LOL!

i think it started out as a clean clear line and was altered with a computer and voice software. that's why he says it's gibberish. it's gibberish now but had to have statrted out as something real don't you think.

even if it was incohesive bits and pieces of english words.

and he probably doesn't want to say what the original line was because then the "gibberish" would make sense and lose it's mystery and he doesn't want it to lose it's mystery because that's why he altered it in the first place.

its not something new. i've heard this alot from music writers/producers.

i argue these are the words, the ending " to be only is clear, but when you hear "one" its already on the next time... like an echo...

Ya know, I think I actually hear something about "die" too. Now I'm going to have to listen to this on my drive home to see.....LOL. But I agree, he probably just sang random words or lyrics from various stuff (or whatever word popped into his head at the time lol) so it doesn't make any sense.....gibberish! ;)

Here's my stab at it (even if it is gibberish he just kinda made up lol): "Why don't you say Goodbye, to leave all [behind/all you find]? Why won't you sing & shout, to be the only one/to believe only one? Why won't you leave in time, to believe only......"? I still can't quite make out what the last word may be. There's a few variations here so it could be one or the other. The way they slowed this down it's hard to decipher. But if the song roughly translates to "be the only one" (I think I read that somewhere on here?) as if you'll be the only one, ever, they do kinda seem to fit the song, even if he did say it was gibberish or if he just randomly recorded something to go with it as a cool intro. Edit: I think I was originally hearing "die" where I hear don't? Maybe..... LOL Edited by ehild

So we have to be happy that they've found great words for the rest of the song... although Celine singing gibberish for 3min 30sec would also sound great, i guess... :sofunny:
